Open Letter to the Tyrant of Pakistan at the Eve of First Remembrance of Naveed Butt's Abduction

Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Pakistan has issued an open letter for the tyrant of Pakistan, General Kayani. This letter has been issued on the completion of year abduction of Naveed Butt, the spokesman of Hizb ut Tahrir in Pakistan. The title of this letter is "The year-long abduction of Naveed Butt will not delay or prevent your end at the hands of a Khaleefah Rashid." General Kayani's thugs abducted Naveed Butt on 11 May 2013 when he just returned to home after bringing back his children from school. Even after the lapse of one complete year his whereabouts are still unknown. This open letter to General Kayani is being delivered via the diplomatic missions of Pakistan around the world, as well as by local channels.

In the letter General Kayani has been described as one "who silences and confines to the dungeons any Muslim, officer or politician that raises the word of truth against him, exposing his treachery before this noble Ummah, to secure her from harm." The abduction is denounced in the letter, addressing Kayani directly, stating, "Thus, we denounce your abduction of our noble brother, Naveed Butt, confining him to your dungeons for over a year, since 11 May 2012. Naveed Butt as the spokesman of Hizb ut Tahrir is a man renowned for speaking defiantly, fearing none but Allah (swt), exposing your American masters' plans. He exposed these plans when you were the right hand man of Musharraf and also when you were brought by the Americans over Musharraf's head, as the new chief agent of America. And we must add to our denouncement so that it becomes powerful, by invoking the Wrath of Allah upon you, for you have declared war on those who are loyal to Allah (swt). Allah (swt) said in the Hadeeth Qudsi,

"قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَالَ مَنْ عَادَى لِي وَلِيًّا فَقَدْ آذَنْتُهُ بِالْحَرْبِ"

'The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him said that Allah said, ‘Whosoever harms my Wali, I will declare a war against him ...' (Bukhari)."

In the letter General Kayani has been warned that, "if you think you're immune to the winds of change, consider that your peers amongst the tyrants and Pharaohs thought of themselves as if they are immortals on the earth and gods other than Allah (swt). However, they were met by what Allah ordained for them. And from them is the one who is waiting now for his blackened misfortune, which he will see soon."

This open letter will be distributed throughout Pakistan. Hizb ut Tahrir/ Wilayah Pakistan urges the journalists, intellectuals, lawyers, human rights organizations and the people of influence to raise their voice against this tyrant and play their role for the immediate release of Naveed Butt.
