O the Honorable Ulema of Pakistan (The Land of the Pure)!
The Only Obstacle to the Pakistani Armed Forces’ Mobilization to Support Palestine is the Current Rulers. It is Your Responsibility to Remove this Stubborn Obstacle and Fulfill your Shariah Role in this Regard

The Ulema gathering held in Islamabad was a good reflection of the pain that the Muslims of Pakistan are feeling over the brutal genocide committed in Gaza by the Jewish entity. The fatwa about the Shariah obligation of Jihad on all armies of Muslims, including Pakistan, conformed with the slogans that have been resounding throughout the public places, and social media groups, of the major cities of Pakistan for the past few days, such as, “Launch from GHQ, O Armies of Muslims! Fulfill your obligation, O Armies of Muslims!”

However, despite your clarification of the importance and Shariah obligation of “armed jihad through armies” at this stage, the problem with Pakistan’s rulers is not their ignorance of the Shariah ruling of Allah (swt) and the Sunnah of His Prophet (saw) regarding the obligation to defend Muslims when attacked, as this المعلوم من الدين بالضرورة “known of the Deen by necessity.” Instead, the problem lies in the treachery and deliberate negligence of these rulers.

Has eighteen months not been enough?

The Muslims of Gaza kept calling upon the rulers of the Muslim World, including Pakistan. The people of Pakistan also kept calling on their rulers. However, these rulers just kept watching the women, old people, children and youth of Palestine being slaughtered before their eyes. The enemy, the Jewish entity, was demolishing hospitals, schools, masajid and homes in Gaza, right before the eyes of these rulers. It is true that it is the command of Allah (swt) to advise the ruler. However, when the rulers do not heed advice, violate the Deen of Allah (swt) and continuously neglect the rights of the Ummah, then it is not permissible to be content with just advising. Instead, it is the Shariah obligation upon the Islamic Ummah, including the Ulema, to hold them strictly accountable and compel them to conform to the truth. The Messenger of Allah (saw) said,

«وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ، لَتَأْمُرُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ، وَلَتَنْهَوُنَّ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ، وَلَتَأْخُذُنَّ عَلَى يَدَيِ الظَّالِمِ، وَلَتَأْطُرُنَّهُ عَلَى الْحَقِّ أَطْراً، أَوْ لَيَضْرِبَنَّ اللهُ قُلُوبَ بَعْضِكُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ، ثُمَّ لَيَلْعَنَنَّكُمْ كَمَا لَعَنَهُمْ»

“By Him in Whose Hand Muhammad's soul is, you must enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong, and you must seize the wrongdoer by the arm and turn him to the truth and keep him steadfast upon it; otherwise Allah will cause your hearts to clash and curse you as He cursed Bani Israeel.” (at-Tabarani). These rulers are allies in treason, selling the Ummah’s sanctities for a pittance, kneeling before Trump, after kneeling before Biden. They oppress Muslims and stifle their voices. They are accustomed to humiliation, and whoever is humiliated finds it easy to be humiliated.

O the Pious within the Ulema! Fatwas on Jihad do not move the rulers. They have suspended hundreds of Shariah rulings, not just the Shariah ruling on jihad. They restrain armies within their nationalistic borders, hand over the affairs of the Ummah to kufr institutions such as the United Nations, and submit to the colonialist conditions of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. The solution lies in removing these rulers and establishing the Khilafah (Caliphate) in their place. These rulers and military commanders are hyenas among men, obstructing the fulfillment of the Shariah obligation of Jihad. Their removal is also an obligation, (ما لا يتم الواجب اإلا به فهو واجب) “That without which an obligation cannot be fulfilled, that too becomes obligatory.” The only ruler whose obedience is obligatory is the one who rules by the Shariah Law of Allah (swt) and leads armies to jihad. Allah (swt) says,

[وَمَن لَّمْ يَحْكُم بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ]

“Those who do not rule all that Allah (swt) has revealed are truly the rebellious.” [TMQ Surah al-Maidah 5:47].

O Ulema, Heirs of the Prophet (saw)! Just as you have issued a fatwa obligating Jihad for armies, your Shariah responsibility is to inform the people of power and protection of their Shariah obligation to remove the agents of colonialism and establish the Khilafah state led by a Khaleefah Rashid (rightly guided caliph) to liberate Palestine. It is the only state that bases its policy on Jihad and Da'wah, not on nationalistic borders. The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, «إِنَّمَا الْإِمَامُ جُنَّةٌ، يُقَاتَلُ مِنْ وَرَائِهِ وَيُتَّقَى بِهِ» “A commander (of the Muslims) is a shield for them. They fight behind him and they are protected by (him from tyrants and aggressors).” (Agreed upon). The Ummah today expects its ulema to follow in the footsteps of the ulema of this region who led the Ummah in the war of liberation (tahrir) against British colonialism. Therefore, it expects you to fulfill your role in removing all obstacles, including the rulers, that impede the liberation (tahrir) of the Blessed Land of Palestine and the end of the existence of the Jewish entity. It is the role of Imam Abu Hanifa, Imam Malik, Ibn Taymiyyah, Shah Wali Allah, and other mujahid ulema. So, be the best successors to the best predecessors. Do not disappoint the hopes of the Ummah and do not squander the inherited legacy of the Prophethood.
