O Clappers on the Suffering of the Miserable:
Your Approval for the Decision to Increase Transit Fees is a Grave Evil
(Translated)
The committee of transport, roads and bridges in the Sudanese parliament approved on Tuesday evening, 14/10/2014 CE; the proposal of the Ministry of Transport, roads and bridges to increase transit fees for roads by 100%, arguing that the state is in need of the amount of 4 billion pounds for the maintenance of roads!
The man-made systems that based their economy on the basis of the greedy capitalist system do not know a way to collect money except through people's pockets through the prohibited (Haram) taxes and levies.
We in Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan seek with the Ummah and through it, to make people's life based on their Aqeedah so that their life prosper, and they satisfy their Lord. The great Islam has shown us in its Ahkam the rules of roads as follows:
1. The Islamic Shariah has made roads a public property of all people. Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, said:
«قلنا يا رسول الله ألا نبني لك بيتاً بمنى يظلك، قال: لا، منًى مُنَاخُ مَنْ سَبَقَ»
"We said: 'O Messenger of Allah! Shall we build a structure to shade you at Mina? He said, 'No, Mina is a resting place for whoever arrives." (Narrated by Ahmad) Thus, it is the duty of the State to enable its citizens the use of the public road with ease and comfort. So it should level the roads and pave them with excellence and perfection without levies, because this is the concept of care in Islam. The basic principle is that people should benefit freely from their property, but instead they find the regime levied upon them money because they moved within their property, this is truly a peculiar thing!
2. We do not ask you to reduce the fees or keep them as they are now! But we ask you to do what Allah and His Messenger (saw) love; abolish the fees and levies as they are all haram. Is it not that the fees and levies on roads lead to the increase in the prices of most commodities in the market, arguing that the cost of transportation has increased with the fees increase? Yes, for what was narrated by Mi'qal ibn Yasar saying: The Messenger of Allah (saw) said:
«من دخل في شيء من أسعار المسلمين، ليغليه عليهم، كان حقاً على الله أن يقعده بعُظْم من النار يوم القيامة»
"Whoever strives to increase the cost (of products) for Muslims, Allah, the exalted, will seat him in the center of the Fire on the Day of Resurrection".
3. O Clappers on the suffering of the miserable! Your approval to the decision to increase transit fees is a grave evil, but what is more evil is that you ordain in your parliament the permission of collecting money from the people! Your consent to all of those unfair decisions on the people's right is deepening the suffering of the miserable; suffering atop suffering... so is there not among you a man of reason?
4. For all the honest and sincere in the Parliament, looking for a solution to the increase in imports for the maintenance of roads, Hizb ut Tahrir has shown in its constitution of the Khilafah "Caliphate" State Article (149) the imports of Bayt-ul-Mal legitimately. So whoever is serious among you, Hizb ut Tahrir opens its doors for you; come to its offices to find the way of righteousness...
Finally for those clappers on the suffering of the miserable! The Islamic Ummah will not forgive anyone who committed a crime against it and robbed them from the freedom to utilize their property. The time for the Ummah to revenge from all those who caused in its misery and unhappiness through laws of levies and high costs; that time is approaching... For the era of the Ummah's silence over their rights has gone, and the time to grab their rights has approached. Either you be, O our brothers in the Parliament, a representative of sincerity, accounting the regime on all its mistakes, or you resign ... For the passage of laws that offend the Almighty Lord of the Throne is a grave crime, the heavens almost rupture therefrom. And you will be afflicted disgrace in this world; the day your Ummah arise against you and the loss in the Hereafter; the day you meet the Compeller of the Heavens and the Earth ... So be with preponderant side; the side of the Ummah, that you may win in this World and in the Hereafter, He who warns is excused!
"So let those beware who dissent from the Prophet's order, lest fitnah strike them or a painful punishment." [An-Nur: 6]
