Press Release
Delegation from Hizb ut Tahrir to Tajikistan Embassy, Delivers a Letter of Protest Against the Arrest, Torture and Sentencing of Hizb ut Tahrir Political Activists to the First Secretary

A delegation from Hizb ut Tahrir Wilayah Pakistan, comprised of Imran Yusufzai, the Deputy Spokesman of the Hizb ut Tahrir in Pakistan and Usman Khan, member of Hizb ut Tahrir, visited the Tajikistan Embassy and met the First Secretary. In the meeting the Hizb ut Tahrir Wilayah Pakistan delegation strongly condemned the baseless arrest, inhuman torture and long sentences meted out by the Tajik government. The delegation also submitted a document of testimony, detailing accounts of torture perpetrated upon Hizb ut Tahrir's members in Tajikistan and asked for it to be delivered to the Tajikistan government. The delegation informed the First Secretary that Hizb ut Tahrir will raise this matter with human rights organizations, lawyers' associations and other forums, so as to pressurize the Tajik government to desist from its blind oppression and tyranny. The First Secretary assured that the document would be forwarded to the Tajikistan government. The document issued by Hizb ut Tahrir details some examples of oppression and torture against members of Hizb ut Tahrir and is attached to this press release. Hizb ut Tahrir Wilayah Pakistan also appeals to the Pakistani media that they expose the Tajikistan government's oppression and tyranny and raise their voices against the torture and brutality against the peaceful callers for the Islamic Khilafah "Caliphate" state.
