On the night of the sixth of February 2015 CE, Russian intelligence officers in collaboration with the Interior Ministry staff of the Republic of Bashkortostan (Bashkiria) carried out mass inspections and arrests in the Republic, there were 21 Muslims among the detainees who were arrested on charges of participating in Hizb ut Tahrir's activities. After the attack on the headquarters of the French newspaper Charlie Hebdo, and the killing of a dozen people, many media outlets announced its intention to reprint the controversial cartoons, including the offensive cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad (saw). In Germany anti-Islam sentiments reached the level which led one of the museums to display all satirical and offensive cartoons of the beloved Prophet (saw), in support of freedom of speech! 

The National Anti-Terrorism Body held a press conference on 16/12/2014 in Moscow, and as usual, it included slurs on Hizb ut Tahrir.
