 Press Release
The Government hands over our Sons’ Minds to the West
(Translated)

Education Minister, Asya Muhammad, praised the role of the World Bank in supporting education projects through the “Strengthening of Primary Education” project and its effective contribution in funding and providing grants. This statement was made on Monday 28/8/2017 during a meeting in her office with the Resident Representative of the World Bank in Sudan, Xavier Furtado, who has completed his term in Khartoum. His successor, Adama Coulibaly, is the new Resident Representative of the Bank. Xavier has praised the cooperation of the Ministry with the success of the Bank's plan to support education projects.

We sound the alarm with the loudest voice and highlight the following:

The Government of Sudan joined the Global Education Partnership in 2012 and received a grant to assist the country in implementing the Interim Strategy for Primary Education (2012-2014). It is currently implementing the Education Sector Strategy 2015-2017 and will begin to develop its full education sector strategy for 2017-2021.

The $76.5 million Global Education Partnership project brings together communities in 11 states, including the Darfur region. The project is implemented by the Federal Ministry of Education, whose minister stated at the time that "the involvement of the government at the federal, state and local levels is crucial. We are committed to the success of this project. I would like to thank the World Bank Group and the Global Education Partnership for their support and contribution to this important initiative" (International Conference website on 29/10/2015)

This project is the largest source of external support for primary education in Sudan. In addition to the support provided by UNICEF as a coordinating organization for education sector activities and the rest of the so-called partners, such as the British support and the European Union for their contribution to the primary education sector in Sudan. There are questions that need to be answered!

First, what is the government's role in supporting education, in return for renouncing its responsibility to look after the affairs of the children, who are the backbone of the future? Are these United Nations and its organizations truly charitable organizations, or are they presenting their political agenda, whose declared intention is the globalization of Western civilization and the fight against Islam?

Among these is the deletion of the lesson "Islam the Deen of Tawheed" from the third grade secondary school this year, and the lesson "Islam’s Attention to Purify the Doctrine from Superstition," which was taught to the sixth grade students in primary schools.

O Muslims, your children are in danger, so pay attention, gather and consider action! The government has abandoned its role in looking after the affairs of our children, and teaching them on the basis of their creed and Deen, and surrendered their minds to the enemy of Allah and their enemy, as it handed over the wealth and the fate of the country and the people from before. Such a government does not deserve to last for an hour of day. When will you be enraged? Until when should we remain silent?!

We in Hizb ut Tahrir/ Wilayah of Sudan warns this government of its persistence in following the colonial Kaffir West, and we say to it that Allah has forbidden Muslims to obey anyone except Him (swt), and those who transgress will meet their fate.

Hizb ut Tahrir carries a comprehensive draft constitution derived from the Book and the Sunnah, which states the foundations of the education system that will be implemented by the second righteous Khilafah (Caliphate) on the Method of Prophethood, which does not follow the West in its policies, and implements the systems of Islam and propagates it to the world to save it from the darkness of capitalism and to bring it to the light of Islam, by the permission of Allah.
