Who are the Beneficiaries of the Subsidies? Are they the Rulers, Ministers and Constitutionalists?!

In front of the parliament on Monday, Finance Minister Dr Mohamed Osman Al Rikabi said in a quick reply to a question about the bread crisis, "The problem will only be resolved by lifting the subsidies completely and distributing it to its beneficiaries." The phrase lifting subsidies and distributing them to their beneficiaries is a term that the government calls whenever it wants to raise the prices of goods and services, especially what it monopolizes (such as wheat and fuel). The question we are asking is who are the beneficiaries of this alleged subsidy?! Are they the poor and the needy people of Sudan? The answer is definitely no, for the policy of the government which is based on the greedy capitalism is not concerned with the people of this category, as it is a policy that manufactures poverty and the poor. So, who are those beneficiaries?

The answer is clear: they are the class of rulers and the so-called constitutionalists; federal and state ministers; federal and state legislatures; armies that need huge budgets covering their allocations and vehicles from the remaining Sudan's looted resources in the name of investment through foreign companies, these constitutionalists are the more deserving of this Money!

Whereas, the people who have been impoverished despite the apparent and hidden wealth of Sudan, do not deserve two pieces of bread like a "stray cat" for a Sudanese pound! The government envies us over two pieces of bread that do not satisfy a child at an early stage. It wants it to be one pound apiece, so that the other pound go for the welfare of the rulers who built palaces, constructed farms, and private companies, and it regards two pieces of bread as too much for the people!!

As for the parliament that summoned the minister, it is the parliament of the government and its representative, as it does not represent the nation, but it deceives it with empty roar, just for eye wash, and then when they vote for what the government wants, they applaud people's suffering. This is one of the omens of lifting US sanctions that the government of the people arouses people’s desire for quails after it, but the exact opposite has happened; a decline in the price of the local currency against the dollar and the rise in prices, so that people are buying things every day at a higher price than the day before it, and then here is the government Minister of Finance wants to increase the bread price, so what remains for us? What the government wants from lifting the alleged subsidy on wheat is what the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank want; the tools of impoverishment in the Islamic world, and Allah commands us not to incline to the disbelievers, they do not want any good for us as the Almighty said:

(مَا يَوَدُّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ وَلا الْمُشْرِكِينَ أَنْ يُنَزَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَاللَّهُ يَخْتَصُّ بِرَحْمَتِهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَاللَّهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ)

“Neither those who disbelieve from the People of the Scripture nor the polytheists wish that any good should be sent down to you from your Lord. But Allah selects for His mercy whom He wills, and Allah is the possessor of great bounty.” [Al-Baqara: 105]

Shall we obey them, or should we obey our Lord Subhanhu wa Ta’ala who said:

(وَلَوْ أَنَّ أَهْلَ الْقُرَى آمَنُوا وَاتَّقَوْا لَفَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ بَرَكَاتٍ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ وَلَكِنْ كَذَّبُوا فَأَخَذْنَاهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ)

“And if only the people of the cities had believed and feared Allah, We would have opened upon them blessings from the heaven and the earth; but they denied [the messengers], so We seized them for what they were earning.” [Al-A’raf: 96]?

The solution is not in the application of the International Monetary Fund's prescriptions, nor in the policies of the corrupt capitalist system, but in the rulings of the Lord of the Worlds, under the Khilafah Rashidah (righteous Caliphate) on the method of the Prophethood, in which the ruler is the first to go hungry if the people are hungry and the last to satiate when they satiate.
