On 27/11/2018, Al-Madariya Channel reported on its website under the headline "The Break-Up of a Leading Member from the National Conference Party and Joining Hizb ut Tahrir." It said: "A leader in Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Sudan revealed the news of the joining of a leader from the National Conference to their party; and he confirmed that the Islamic leader is one of the most prominent leaders of the National Conference, and that he held the post of an important sovereign Ministry, and he is a veteran of the Islamists and one of the most important one, and a participant in the coup of 1989. He added that Hizb ut Tahrir carry out (study) sessions in his home after his departure from the National Conference, and he pointed out that the dissolution of this former minister is a blow to the regime and rejection of its principles.
