Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah Sudan held its monthly forum, Forum on the Ummah’s Issues,on Saturday, 2 Sha'ban 1446 AH corresponding to February 1, 2025 CE. This month's session was titled "Trump’s Policy Towards the Middle East… and Sudan in Particular."

Speakers at the forum included:

1. Ustaadh Hatem Jaafar, Lawyer, Member of the Hizb ut Tahrir Council in Wilayah Sudan

2. Ustaadh Faqir Hajj Mohammed Ahmed, Lawyer, Member of Hizb ut Tahrir

Moderator: Ustaadh Ibrahim Musharraf, Member of the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah Sudan

The first speaker, Ust. Hatem Jaafar, began his presentation by posing the question: Why discuss Trump's policy towards the Middle East? He answered that Trump is the 47th President of the United States, which is the leading global power. He elaborated on the nature of the U.S. as the world’s foremost state, its influence on international politics, and how its leaders view Muslim countriesand how they sponsor the cancerous Jewish entity, to stir up fitna (sedition) and unrest with the help of the rulers of Islamic countries, and to delay the revival of the Ummah. His analysis, backed by statements and evidence, identified four key aspects of Trump’s policy:

1. Asserting his strong leadership and distinguishing himself from previous U.S. presidents.

2. A bold and candid approach in outlining political objectives, which is uncommon in traditional political discourse.

3. Intimidating and financially extorting agent rulers in Muslim countries.

4. Firmly supporting the Jewish entity’s interests.

The second speaker, Ust. Faqir Hajj Mohammed Ahmed, presented a paper titled "The Muslim Ummah Can Thwart America’s Plans and Establish the Khilafah (Caliphate)." He argued that Trump’s open hostility, arrogance, and disregard for the Muslim world would provoke strong reactions, despite the weakness and submission of Muslim rulers. This, he said, would push the Ummah towards change, one that could only be achieved through Islam and its state, the Khilafah Rashidah (Rightly Guided Caliphate) on the method of theProphethood. He urged sincere individuals, particularly military officers from the Muslim community, to support this cause by working toward the establishment of the Khilafah.

The forum saw a large and engaged audience, with active participation both in person and through a live broadcast on Facebook. The session concluded with an interactive Question and Answer session, where the speakers addressed insightful questions from attendees.

In closing, moderator Ust. Ibrahim Musharraf expressed his gratitude to the audience for their participation, attentiveness, and engagement in the discussions.
