The Explicit Involvement in the International Coalition to Combat "Terrorism" Is a Renunciation of the Constants and a Dangerous Slide Towards the Abyss
(Translated)

The Syrian Minister of Information, Hamza Al-Mustafa, "confirmed the recent signing by Syria of a declaration of political cooperation with the international coalition to defeat ISIS," and that "Syria is a partner in combating terrorism," adding: "President Trump praised Syria’s transformation and expressed his support for a potential security arrangement with ‘Israel’." Meanwhile, Trump stated to journalists, after his meeting with the Syrian president for the transitional phase, Ahmed Al-Sharaa, at the White House, that he is in harmony with Al-Sharaa, and that he is confident and certain that he will be able to carry out his duties and work successfully. The US State Department had praised last Friday what it described as "remarkable progress" in the behavior of the new Syrian leadership.

The US envoy to Syria, Tom Barrack, had announced that President Ahmed Al-Sharaa would sign during his visit a partnership document that places Syria inside this international coalition led by the United States. He commented on the Trump–Al-Sharaa meeting by saying: "This week marks a decisive turning point in the modern history of the Middle East - and in the remarkable transformation of Syria from isolation to partnership.… the Syrian government is an essential partner in the war against ISIS and the war on 'terrorism'… marking Syria’s transition from a source of terrorism to a counterterrorism partner." As for the deputy spokesman for the US State Department, he stated: "Syria has transformed from a state that was an agent of the Iranian regime to a state that is now cooperating with us in combating terrorism."

A report by the Middle East Institute, quoting a source in the Public Security Directorate, mentioned that "the recent coordination between Damascus and the coalition command included multiple operational agreements, most notably: the exchange of intelligence information between the reconnaissance unit in the Ministry of Interior and the operations rooms of the international coalition, which paves the way for establishing more institutional and sustainable security cooperation channels."

One of the most important constants of the Ash-Sham revolution, which offered two million martyrs, was liberation from the dominance of Western countries and ending their influence. And as soon as Allah honored us with the overthrow of the former regime, dealing with America and the West and opening up to them became, in the view of the Syrian administration for the transitional phase, the only source of security, safety, peace, progress, and economic prosperity! Moreover, the media focuses on the capitalist economic aspect far from the regulations of Islam, its rulings, and its conditions—especially in the economy and in dealing with the kuffar (disbelieving) states, especially those that are in a state of war with us, foremost among them America, whose weapons drip with our blood in Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, and Yemen, and even in Syria, where it supported the former regime for 14 years with all the essentials of life to bury the revolution of Ash-Sham and return its people to the lap of the executioner.

Then linking the miserable economic situation with the approval of the West and the lifting of sanctions includes all sorts of absurdity and deception, aiming to divert people’s minds from the eternal Qur’anic truth that the cause of misery and hardship is the exclusion of Allah’s law from governance, life, and the state. Allah the Exalted said in Surah Ta-Ha:

[فَمَنِ اتَّبَعَ هُدَايَ فَلَا يَضِلُّ وَلَا يَشْقَىٰ * وَمَنْ أَعْرَضَ عَن ذِكْرِي فَإِنَّ لَهُ مَعِيشَةً ضَنكاً وَنَحْشُرُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَعْمَىٰ]

“So whoever follows My guidance will not go astray nor fall into misery * But whoever turns away from My remembrance, indeed he will have a depressed life, and We will gather him on the Day of Resurrection blind.” [Taha:124–123].

And worse than that is justifying this dangerous slip by achieving potential political, economic, and security gains under the pretext of bringing benefits and repelling harms, based on a distorted understanding of the fundamentals of our Deen and the mechanism of dealing with states in foreign policy.

And it is indeed strange and astonishing that the position on the international coalition has transformed from being a "Crusader coalition" fighting Islam to becoming an ally and partner in "combating extremism and terrorism," which—according to the leaders of kufr—refers only to the war on Islam and the prevention of its return to governance represented in a state. So where are the concepts and slogans of loyalty and disavowal (al-wala’ wa-l-bara’) that were carried by those who reached authority?

Did they not hear His saying the Exalted:

[قالَ عَسى رَبُّكم أنْ يُهْلِكَ عَدُوَّكم ويَسْتَخْلِفَكم في الأرْضِ فَيَنْظُرَ كَيْفَ تَعْمَلُونَ]

"He said, ‘Perhaps your Lord will destroy your enemy and grant you succession in the land, and then He will see how you act.’” [Al-A‘raf:129].

Or were these slogans merely a ladder to reach power, and when what happened, they became forgotten and neglected?!

Allah the Exalted says in the Decisive Revelation:

[ما يَوَدُّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتابِ وَلا الْمُشْرِكِينَ أَنْ يُنَزَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَاللَّهُ يَخْتَصُّ بِرَحْمَتِهِ مَنْ يَشاءُ وَاللَّهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ]

"Neither the disbelievers among the People of the Book nor the polytheists wish that any good should be sent down to you from your Lord. But Allah selects for His mercy whom He wills. And Allah is the Lord of great bounty.” [Al-Baqarah:105].

So shall we believe Trump—the head of kufr, America, and its spearhead in the war on Islam, along with the entire West—or shall we believe the Word of the One, the Subduer, whose support brought us to Damascus victorious?!

And where shall we go with His saying the Exalted:

[وَلَن تَرْضَى عَنكَ الْيَهُودُ وَلاَ النَّصَارَى حَتَّى تَتَّبِعَ مِلَّتَهُمْ قُلْ إِنَّ هُدَى اللّهِ هُوَ الْهُدَى وَلَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَاءهُم بَعْدَ الَّذِي جَاءكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ مَا لَكَ مِنَ اللّهِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلاَ نَصِيرٍ]

“Never will the Jews nor the Christians be pleased with you until you follow their religion. Say, ‘Indeed, the guidance of Allah is the true guidance.’ And if you were to follow their desires after what has come to you of knowledge, you would have no protector or helper from Allah.” [Al-Baqarah:120].

The Western states as a whole have linked the issue of lifting sanctions on Syria with clear and scandalous conditions, foremost among them the cooperation of the new administration in the file of "combating extremism and terrorism," and this has become clear to everyone with insight and vision from the Ummah of Islam.

The declaration of explicit involvement with America in this spiteful “Crusader” coalition is a dangerous trap and a widespread evil whose misfortune will not affect the current administration alone, but will also reflect upon everyone who approves it or remains silent about it or overlooks its effects and consequences, the clearest of which is chasing everyone who carried the slogan of Islam as a system of life, whether from the people of the country or those who came to support them from the sons of the Ummah of Islam. And “ISIS” is nothing but a hanger to mislead public opinion to accept joining this coalition, in addition to what this involvement will cause of political and economic dependency and the imposition of political agendas that affect internal files such as restructuring the security apparatuses according to the American desire, where the Americans want these apparatuses to be their tools and internal eyes, using them to serve their plans as they wish.

Today we are on the land of Ash-Sham at a crossroads; either we return to our Deen and the guidance of our Lord and the path of our Prophet Muhammad (saw) and declare complete disavowal of everything that angers Him, Exalted is He, or we chase after the mirage of America’s satisfaction, to fall into Allah’s anger and for the tremendous sacrifices and the pure blood that irrigated the soil of Ash-Sham to go to waste. So which of the two paths must the sons of Islam on the land of Ash-Sham choose?! It is more fitting for the sons of the revolution of Ash-Sham and the people of sacrifices to remain true to the covenant, to declare their adherence to the constants of their religion and their revolution, foremost among them the implementation of Islam through the State of Islam to achieve the glad tidings of the Prophet (saw) and his saying: «أَلَا إِنَّ عُقْرَ دَارِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ الشَّامُ»“Verily, the abode of the believers is Ash-Sham.”

Before we all regret in a time when neither crying nor wailing will be of any use, and Allah is the One sought for help, and there is no power nor strength except with Allah the Most High, the Almighty.
