With faith in Allah's decree and with acceptance of His Will, the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Syria mourns one of its members, a dawah carrier to Islam:

Fayez Mustafa Dweil (Abu Istif)

from Idlib – Sarmin, who passed away at the age of 63, having spent his life in obedience to Allah Almighty. May Allah have mercy on him, he was a man of high ambition and sincere determination. He carried the call to Islam and worked for it for a decade during the revolution, enduring hardship and toil along the way, seeking reward from Allah Almighty, striving to support His Deen and exalt His word.

In his later years, Allah afflicted him with a serious illness. May Allah have mercy on him, he remained patient, accepting Allah's qadaa wa qadr (decree and destiny) with contentment, steadfast in his covenant with Allah. This is how we perceive him, and we do not presume to judge anyone before Allah.

We ask Allah to make what befell him a means of raising his rank and expiating his sins, and to accept him among the righteous. We ask Him, the Exalted, to envelop him in His vast mercy, and to grant him the highest Paradise in the company of the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous—and how excellent a company they are! - and to inspire his family with patience and solace.

To Allah belongs what He gives and what He takes, and everything with Him has an appointed term. We say only what pleases our Lord, the Most High.

[إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ]

“to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return”
