Today, Tuesday, October 27, 2026, our people in Syria awoke to the aftermath of a horrific massacre committed by the Jordanian regime’s air force against a family in the village of Lutuf, located in the Lajat area of the eastern Daraa countryside. The attack claimed the lives of seven martyrs—including three children and one woman—and left several others wounded.
The Jordanian regime claimed that this bombardment was in response to an attack targeting a church funeral in the town of Hamoud, in the Karak Governorate. The Jordanian army announced intensive airstrikes targeting what it described as "dens of terrorist organizations" in areas within the Daraa countryside, such as al-Muzayrib and Nasib. Meanwhile, Jordanian security authorities alleged that the perpetrators of the Karak attack held takfiri (extremist) ideology and maintained links to armed groups in southern Syria. The Jordanian army claimed that the operation was carried out in coordination with Damascus—a claim denied by the Syrian administration—while Jordan emphasized its commitment to developing relations and maintaining the coordination that has existed for years to combat terrorism. In this context, Nour al-Din al-Baba, a spokesperson for the Syrian Ministry of Interior, stated: "We continue our efforts to combat terrorism... Coordination between Syria and Jordan is the optimal way to address border-related challenges."
As for the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it commented: "There are suspicious parties striving to disrupt the excellent, fraternal relations between the two countries; they are working to sow discord, create tension, and ignite crises among the two brotherly nations."
It is a well-established fact that the blood of innocent civilians—whether Muslim or non-Muslim—is sacred. The attack on a funeral at a church in the town of Hamoud is an act that serves only the interests of harmful regimes and the Jewish entity. Such an act distorts Islam and sows division and discord; it is then exploited as a pretext to wage a war—which is already ongoing—against Islam and its rulings, all under the guise of "combating terrorism." Furthermore, it is used as a tool for intimidation and to exert pressure on any sincere individual who seeks honor through Islam, calls others to it, and works toward the establishment of its state. All the enemies of the Ummah—including its own rulers—have united to wage war against the rulings of our religion and the fundamental tenets of our Shariah.
The crime committed by the Jordanian regime against our people in Hauran will remain a stain of shame, added to its dark record—a record already replete with atrocities—even though the regime had hoped it would serve to burnish its image and export its internal crises.
A heinous crime that confirms what is already well-known: The regimes in the lands of Islam monopolize weaponry and shackle the Ummah’s armies, preventing them from taking any action—except to protect the regimes' own thrones from the very people whose wrath and uprising they so deeply fear. These armies are never deployed to fight the enemies lying in wait for us—foremost among them the Jewish entity, which is currently committing massacres against our people in Gaza and elsewhere—while the rulers of Jordan and their ilk do not even blink, nor does a single shred of honor or shame stir within them.
The Sykes-Picot borders—that loathsome nationalist construct which divides the nation and tears it into shreds—remain the greatest obstacles to the nation’s liberation from the shackles of humiliation, degradation, and subservience, and from the domination of the Jews over the blessed land of Palestine.
How shameful it is that these rulers bully their own people, while remaining completely inert in the face of the crimes, arrogance, and aggressions of the Jews—all the while rushing to coordinate efforts to combat Islam and its followers.
Our people in Hauran have become trapped amidst assaults, conspiracies, and abandonment. The rulers of Syria have done nothing more than call for "coordination"—much as they previously limited their response to the assaults of the Jews by merely issuing condemnations and lodging complaints with international organizations. Is this how the affairs of the people are to be managed—especially in Hauran, the cradle of the revolution?!
The blood of Muslims is sacrosanct everywhere, regardless of whether or not there is coordination among regimes. As long as their Khalifah (Caliph)—the shield from behind which they fight and by which they are protected—is absent, the blood, lands, and sanctities of Muslims will remain exposed and vulnerable.
We ask Allah to hasten the establishment of the Khilafah (Caliphate), which will govern the affairs of all subjects with justice, protect their lives, and exact retribution for the sacred blood of our people in the countryside of Daraa, in Gaza, and throughout all the lands of Islam.
This will only come to pass under the Islamic State—the Khilafah - established upon the methodology of the Prophethood—a state of justice, mercy, and dignity. We are confident that it will arrive soon, by the permission of Allah, just as our master Muhammad (saw) foretold when he said: «ثُمَّ تَكُونُ خِلَافَةً عَلَى مِنْهَاجِ النُّبُوَّةِ»“Then there will be a Khilafah (Caliphate)following the methodology of the Prophethood.”
