Capitalism Not in Position to Stop Student Pregnancies

Following a recent report that within a month about 194 primary and middle school students at Momba district in Songwe region (Southern highlands of Tanzania) have become pregnant.

Hizb ut Tahrir / Tanzania would like to explain the following:

1. Under the evil democratic system, society in Tanzania and around the world experiences a great deal of moral degradation due to evil and secular ideas of 'personal freedoms' to the extent that every fabric of society has been affected. Parents overwhelmed by the burden of guardianship partly by negligence but mainly from capitalist corrupt thoughts that has brought social disaster and disintegration.

2. In dealing with the issue of students' pregnancies, the capitalist nations pushed developing nations including Tanzania in blindly and the unnatural position imposing upon them in peril and strange guidelines which only protect capitalist ideology while leaving their society in an abyss of immorality.

Capitalism freely encourages arousal of sexual desires and motivates free reign to be satisfied, intrinsically when a human reaches puberty, would seek to satisfy them. Yet the issue of marriage to girl students is a legal offence being harshly punished only to men.

3. The basis of ‘under age’ that relies on the restricting of girl students being married is merely irrational and inconsistent with reality. How is it that minors could manage becoming pregnant?

4. What is evident in this issue, is that the capitalism does not at all oppose girl students being engaged in sexual activities since according to its belief it is part of personal freedoms. But its main concern is students getting pregnant, and that is why it offers and encourages sex education giving them skills to avoid and prevent them from it.

5. The Capitalist perspective and outlook on this particular issue are an open shame, nonsensical, inconsistent to human nature, does not in its position protect morals and personality. Furthermore, it vividly shows that capitalism does not at all have the capability in managing human affairs.

Islam recognizes the existence of the procreation instinct in human nature with main purposes are maintaining the survival of the human species, in which also pleasure and enjoyment are obtained which need to be satisfied. Unlike capitalism, Islam does not offer free reign in satisfying sexual desires except in marriage which it encourages once puberty has been reached. Also, Islam fairly restricts and punishes all sexual activities outside of marriage to both males and females in protecting society. Under the Islamic state, Khilafah (Caliphate), society would be better off than today unlike society under capitalism that has deepened humanity in the form of animal behaviors from sexual immoralities.
