In the first government meeting held in Kasbah, shortly after the first round of the presidential elections, Prime Minister Youssef Chahed said that the Nawara field in southern Tunisia will come into production in November 2019, which will save 50% of the country's gas consumption and 20% of oil consumption.

Although half of the project is owned the Austrian company OMV, the benefits of the project, which were mentioned by Prime Minister Youssef Chahed, such as a 40% reduction in energy deficits and a 7% trade deficit, confirm that Tunisia has enormous wealth and a large energy reserves, the fact which successive governments try to refute every time.

We do not know why Prime Minister Youssef Chahed did not tell us about the oil and gas fields spread throughout the country, which were handed over by successive governments to foreign companies, such as the Miskar field, ownership of which was 100% transferred to British Gas in 1998, which caused a deficit in the energy balance. Tunisia's share of its production is able to cover 60% of the energy needed to generate electricity annually, as this field produces 10 million cubic meters of natural gas per day, and the Tunisian Company for Electricity and Gas is currently forced to buy its power generation needs in millions of dollars of the country's money, to buy what our land produces of gas in hard currency? Which sane person would accept this?! How can foreign companies obtain our internal wealth, which is originally a public property that must be managed by the state which distribute its revenues to the people of the country either in cash or in the form of services?!

O Muslims in the Country of Az-Zaytouna:

We are aware that cutting the colonial ties and restoring natural wealth are not achievable by the weak rulers and the agents, as these governments have not been able to change the salt contracts that have been cheaply exploited since the abhorrent era of colonialism, so how can they expel companies and recover wealth. No one can do so except the one who is sincere to his religion and united with his Ummah. We, your brothers in Hizb ut Tahrir, urge all those who have chivalry and sense of honor to stop this depletion of country’s wealth. And we inform you that the Khilafah (Caliphate), which we will soon establish, by Allah’s permission, will not forget the positions of honor, and will begin as soon as it is established to uproot the colonial companies, so they will never return after it. And will make the mines which are scattered throughout the country, as well as oil and gas wells and the like public ownership, supervised by the state for your benefit, both in their production and marketing, providing money for the establishment of ambitious projects such as manufacturing, especially machinery industry to provide the necessary facilities needed by agriculture and its sub-factories, operate the disabled armies and take advantage of the educated human resources.

Allah Almighty says:

[وَأَنزَلْنَا الْحَدِيدَ فِيهِ بَأْسٌ شَدِيدٌ وَمَنَافِعُ لِلنَّاسِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ اللَّهُ مَن يَنصُرُهُ وَرُسُلَهُ بِالْغَيْبِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَوِيٌّ عَزِيزٌ]

“And We sent down iron, wherein is great military might and benefits for the people, and so that Allah may make evident those who support Him and His messengers unseen. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might.”[Al-Hadid: 25].
