Obituary of a Da’wah Carrier

[مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رِجَالٌ صَدَقُوا مَا عَاهَدُوا اللهَ عَلَيْهِ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ قَضَى نَحْبَهُ
وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَنْتَظِرُ وَمَا بَدَّلُوا تَبْدِيلاً]

“Among the believers are men who have proven true to what they pledged to Allah. Some of them have fulfilled their pledge ˹with their lives˺, others are waiting ˹their turn˺. They have never changed ˹their commitment˺ in the least.” [Al-Ahzab 33:23]

Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah Tunisia mourns one of its devoted men and carriers of the da’wah: the elder and brother, the lion of the da’wah, Basheer Qassila, who passed away on Sunday, 26th Dhul-Hijjah 1446 AH, corresponding to 22 June 2025 CE, after a struggle with illness that weakened his body but never extinguished the flame of his mission nor his resolve to work alongside the ranks striving for the resumption of the Islamic way of life through the establishment of the Khilafah Rashidah (rightly guided Khilafah) on the method of the Prophethood.

Throughout his journey, he endured the darkness of prisons and hardship in livelihood, yet remained steadfast.

We ask Allah Almighty to accept him among the righteous, to raise his rank in the highest of the high, and to grant patience, strength, and solace to his family, loved ones, and companions.

[إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ]

“Surely to Allah we belong and to Him we will ˹all˺ return.”[Al-Baqarah: 156]
