Press Release
From the Lost Century to the Promising Future (The Islamic Century)!
(Translated)
It has been 100 years since the dismantling of the Khilafah (Caliphate) on March 3, 1924 CE, marking a full century since the greatest catastrophe experienced by Muslims throughout Islamic history. When the seeds of discord planted by Western colonialism among Muslims in Islamic lands took root, ideas of nationalism proliferated among Muslims, leading to the destruction of the great state that had lasted for 1300 years. The British, with the help of their local collaborators, demolished the Khilafah, which the Kuffar (disbelievers) had been unable to defeat on the battlefield. With the Ummah's shield broken and the authority of Islam, the Khilafah, demolished, Muslims lost their dignity and strength against the Kuffar. With the collapse of the Khilafah, security and safety were lost not only in Islamic lands but throughout the world. The world became governed by capitalism. Western colonial powers invaded our lands, looted the world's resources, and shed the blood of Muslims abundantly.
This century without Islam is a lost century, not only for Muslims but for all of humanity. The world is stumbling in the corridors of dark capitalism, and humanity is being crushed under colonial systems. It is clear that what the West calls human rights, humanitarian values, rights, law, and justice are all lies. Today, with the support of the occupying Jews, all Western countries systematically engage in killing and committing genocide against a handful of Muslims in Gaza for nearly five months in front of the eyes of the entire world.
Because the Westerners see the collapse of capitalism and colonial systems, they are trying to prevent the revival of Islam and Muslims and the establishment of the Khilafah. However, they will not succeed, because after the lost century, the future belongs to Islam and Muslims, Allah willing.
We, in Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah Türkiye, on the occasion of the centenary of the dismantling of the Khilafah, launch a campaign titled "From the Lost Century to the Promising Future (The Islamic Century)." In this context, we will hold conferences, discussion circles, and seminars in many Turkish cities. We ask Allah to make our work a means of good. We also call on all Muslims to support our work and participate in our activities and struggle for the establishment of the Khilafah.
O Muslims! After 100 years without a Khilafah, it is time for you to stand up and lead the world. It is time to make the world a place fit for living once again with the light of Islam, its justice, mercy, and blessings. Furthermore, the events in Gaza over the past five months alone demonstrate the extent of our need for the Khilafah. A hundred years ago, we had a State and a Khalifah (caliph). Today, there are 57 states and 57 leaders, but they do not replace a single Khalifah. The events in Gaza have stripped away the masks of the rulers and revealed how they have become submissive puppets who cherish their seats. Therefore, turn away from these outdated systems and laws, and work towards establishing Allah's system on earth and establishing the Khilafah. The global circumstances are favorable for its establishment, and Muslims and even Western peoples are looking forward to Islam and the Khilafah. The entire world is in need of the Khilafah and after the lost century, this century will be the century of Islam, Allah willing. So rise to fulfill the promise of Allah Almighty, and work to attain the glad tidings of the Messenger of Allah (saw). And do not forget that victory comes only from Allah, and on that day, the believers will rejoice.
«ثُمَّ تَكُونُ خِلَافَةٌ عَلَى مِنْهَاجِ النُّبُوَّةِ»
“Then there will be a caliphate based on the Prophetic method.” [Narrated by Ahmad].
