Mourning of Rakhmatov Shukhratjon
One of the Men Who Shook the Foundations of Karimov's Oppressive Regime
(Translated)
With profound sorrow and grief, we mourn for the entire Muslim Ummah, and especially for the Muslims of our country, the passing of our brother Rakhmatov Shukhratjon, who surrendered his soul to his Creator yesterday, Friday, 19/12/2025.
Yes, today we witnessed our brother Rakhmatov Shukhratjon Turaevich, who endured the horrors of Karimov's oppressive regime, which astonished the world with its persecution, arrest, torture, and execution of the members of Hizb ut Tahrir, who sought to defeat the hegemony of disbelief by establishing the Khilafah Rashidah (Rightly Guided Caliphate), which implements Islam as a complete way of life, on his journey to the Hereafter.
Our brother Shukhratjon was born in 1975 in the Kashkadarya region. He spent nearly half his life in the prisons of the Uzbek regime between 1999 and 2022. He was a role model, known for his courage, determination, unwavering belief, truthfulness, and steadfastness in speaking the truth. He spent almost a quarter of a century behind bars in the prisons of Chirchik, Zangyuta, Navoi, Jaslyk, and Almalik in Uzbekistan. Even during his imprisonment in the notorious Jaslyk and Zarafshan prisons, infamous for executions and torture, he remained brave and outspoken, proud of his courage, and terrified the executioners of Karimov's oppressive regime. He was among the first to shatter the aura of injustice and oppression with the word of truth. A warrior on the battlefield of struggle, and a devout worshipper in prayer to his Lord. Our brother was a living embodiment of the Quran, walking upon the earth. He touched the hearts of many and became a living example of humility for the believers and strength against the disbelievers. At the end of his life, Allah, by His grace, blessed him with a good end. Our beloved brother, Shukhratjon, departed this world far from his birthplace, having migrated for the sake of his Lord. The Messenger of Allah (saw) said:
“When a man dies somewhere else than in his birthplace a space will be measured for him in paradise equal to the distance between his birthplace and the place where he died.”
We pray to Allah (swt) to bestow this blessing upon our brother, and we beseech Him (swt) to have mercy on him, forgive him, and grant him the rank of martyrs. We ask Allah (swt) to grant his family and loved ones patience and solace. Finally, we say only what pleases our Lord (swt):
[إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ] “Surely to Allah we belong and to Him we will ˹all˺ return.” [Al-Baqarah: 156].
