According to the news published by UN News Centre, at the UN summit held on 19 September 2016, world leaders adopt bold plan to enhance protections for refugees and migrants.

On September 18, the UN General Assembly will bring together member states for the first ever Summit on Refugees and Migrants. An already-released draft declaration enshrining the outcomes promises a more coordinated, humane and responsive approach to people on the move.

5th of September, Al Jazeera reported that according to former Palestinian border officials and travelers, Egyptian officers are asking desperate Palestinians from Gaza for bribes of up to $10,000 to leave the besieged Strip through the Rafah Crossing. According to a former Palestinian official working for the Crossing Authority which oversees the Rafah terminal, nearly half a million dollars was taken by Egyptian officers from Palestinians

On August 27, the Official Gazette announced that women serving in the Turkish National Police will be able to wear head scarves. The regulation notes that the headscarf must match the colour of the uniform and must be plain, without any patterns.
