Eid and Suffering in the Absence of Khilafah

Eid ul-Fitr is a celebration of obedience to Allah. We have passed through the most beautiful month, where hundreds of millions of Muslims across the globe have devoted themselves to Allah (swt) both day and night.

The sad reality is, however, that for generations of Muslims now, no celebration has ever been complete. Because Allah is not pleased with our condition. Even as we fast and our ibadah reaches new levels in Ramadan. Our communal state of affairs as an Ummah is in many aspects a sad one.

Nowhere in the world do we live under system of Islam. Rather, our countries are ruled by corrupt traitors. Since our state, the Khilafah (Caliphate), was abolished 100 years ago, we have been more divided and weak than ever before in history.

No security. No justice. No mercy.

These values which we are obligated as an in Ummah to bring to the rest of mankind, we cannot even secure for our own children!

How can any celebration be complete in a time of genocide and occupation of the blessed and of Palestine? A time in of famine, widespread poverty, and internment of Muslims in concentration camps. In a time when the world is sunk in deep corruption, while we – Muhammad’s Ummah (saw) – who have received Islam as a trust and a mercy to humanity – stand without power behind us, and without protection before us.

We rejoice in our Eid – a joy which is from the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (saw). But the joy is not complete. Even the matter of the day of Eid itself becomes a cause of discord and division every year. In principle, it is the head of state – the Khalifah (Caliph) – who declares both Ramadan and Eid for all Muslims. Even in this issue we feel the absence of one political leadership that unites us.

100 years without true celebration and joy is a long time. We therefore call upon all Muslims to take part in the noble work to reintroduce Islam on earth, by re-establishing Khilafah (Caliphate). Islam was not revealed to be observed only by individuals or in Ramadan alone.

Islam was revealed to be lived; throughout life and society, in the state and its institutions.

We wish all Muslims across the globe a blessed Eid ul Fitr, and ask Allah to let us celebrate the next Eid under the banner of Islam – united in true joy under one righteous Khalifah who will liberate Masjid Al-Aqsa and all our occupied Lands.

“And on that day the believers will rejoice. at the victory willed by Allah. He gives victory to whoever He wills. For He is the Almighty, Most Merciful.” [Ar-Rum: 4-5]
