Democracy is a Deception
The Reality is No Democratic Ruler Today Cares What the People Think...
The support for the people of Palestine has spread across the world. Demonstrations show a mixture of Jews, Christians, secular individuals and Muslims. They are all united in protest of the massacre taking place on a daily basis in Gaza.
According to a Reuters report of 28 October 2023, “Hundreds of thousands of demonstrators rallied in cities in Europe, the Middle East and Asia on Saturday to show support for the Palestinians as ‘Israel’s’ military widened its air and ground offensive on the Gaza Strip.”
People have marched in cities in Malaysia, Turkey, Pakistan, Iraq, Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia, Yemen, Morocco, Indonesia, Lebanon, Denmark, Italy,Sweden, France, New Zealand, America, Canada, South Africa, Greece and Spain. There have even been anti-war protests within the entity of the Jews itself.
Through these demonstrations the people have clearly spoken, they do not want their governments to stand by and allow genocide to take place. They are demanding their governments take action to force the entity of the Jews to call a ceasefire.
Is democracy not supposed to be, as Abraham Lincoln said, “Democracy is a rule of the people, for the people and by the people”?!
For years, we have heard how democracy is the best political system because it is the only system that represents the people. Its advocates argued that rulers are elected by the people to represent, and implement, their wishes. People who questioned the reality of this idea, arguing that there is no democracy, instead there is oligarchy, were pushed to the side, and often labelled as conspiracy theorists. Even when the idea did take root, and was discussed as a reality, the solution was always that we need to work towards more democracy.
The argument that Democracy is the solution is getting old. The recent events have really exposed how the influential who control power, and legislation, really do not care what the people believe.
They are blatantly ignoring the voice of their people. Reports are being shared of authorities preventing public demonstrations taking place, civilians who speak against the genocide losing their jobs and ignoring the voice of people who work within the government.
Democracy is not the solution, and it will never be the solution. A political system that allows the manipulation of the people is not a solution. A political system that removes the accountability of the rulers is not a solution. For Muslims, a political system that puts man’s law above the Law of Allah (swt), is not a solution.
The only solution for all mankind, whether Muslim or non-Muslim, Jew, Christian or secular, is one that protects everyone’s rights without discrimination. Only the Islamic Khilafah (Caliphate) on the Method of the Prophethood will do this. The Khilafah State will not allow a few people to dominate the state that implements Shariah laws, for their own interests. The laws given to us by Our Creator (swt) are to protect the lives, the blood, and the property of all humankind. Indeed, in the era of the Khilafah, Muslims and non-Muslims lived together in peace and prosperity, for centuries.
The Islamic Ummah is in pain and crying as we watch what is happening in Palestine. The anger against the rulers who stand and watch, who make speeches but take no action, is growing. Also growing is the call for the re-establishment of the Khilafah State, with the sincere ruler who only fears Allah (swt).
The Muslim rulers do not represent the Ummah. They care only for their own wealth and status. The Muslims care about each other, and are willing to sacrifice for each other. Let us all work and pray for the return of the Khilafah, so our Khaleefah can truly reflect the Imaan we carry as an Ummah. Allah (swt) said,
Allah is the ally of those who believe. He (swt) brings them out from forms of darkness into the light. As for those who disbelieve, their allies are non-Islamic Taghut authorities. They take them out of the light into forms of darkness. Those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide eternally therein.” [TMQ Surah Al-Baqarah 2:257].
