Erdogan still hopeful of American attention despite being ignored by Trump
Weak and hypocritical leaders like Turkish President Erdogan faithfully carry out every American demand placed upon them but when America refuses to compensate them in return then they have no option but to continue begging from America.
According to al-Monitor:
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s failure to meet Donald Trump during the United Nations General Assembly raises the question of whether Ankara will order the Turkish army into north-eastern Syria.
Erdogan indicated in late August that Ankara would launch an operation by the end of September to establish the “safe zone” it wants east of the Euphrates River if it can’t agree with Washington on the details of this zone.
Turkey and the United States agreed in principle in early August on the need for a security zone in north-eastern Syria but remain far apart on specifics.
The region where Ankara wants to set up the zone is currently controlled by the US-backed Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG). Ankara argues that it needs control of this zone to secure its borders against the YPG, which it says is a terrorist organization that threatens Turkey.
In order to crush the Syrian revolution, America has been orchestrating a complex plan involving multiple regional powers. America enticed Erdogan to participate in this plan making promises of a Turkish buffer zone within Syria to offset the Kurdish threat and Erdogan’s role in this plan was instrumental in misleading major groups. But now that Erdogan has delivered on American demands, the US is least interested in doing anything for Turkey.
The Muslim Ummah is well aware that the modern system of nation states is an artificial Western imposition drawing borders across what is supposed to be the singular body of the Ummah. The West will continue to exploit us through the false leaderships it has imposed upon us until we throw them all out and re-establish a singular leadership and governance for the entire Ummah in the form of the re-established Islamic Khilafah (Caliphate) State on the method of the Prophet (saw).
British fear loss of Cypriot oil because of Turkish actions
Despite Erdogan’s humiliation by US President Donal Trump, he continues to carry out America’s work. America is well aware of Europe’s poverty of energy supplies and has been tormenting Europe by interfering with its supplies from abroad. Previously Trump has been pressuring Germany over building the Nord Stream gas pipeline to obtain energy supplies from Russia through an alternate route to the troubled southern one through Ukraine. Now Trump is pushing his servile agent Erdogan to interfere with gas supplies discovered in the Eastern Mediterranean which could greatly alleviate Europe’s energy difficulties. According to Reuters:
A British minister on Friday said Britain ‘deplored’ any drilling in waters close to Cyprus as a row escalated between Nicosia and Turkey, which was poised to start searching for oil and gas south of the island.
“I made it very clear that Great Britain deplores any drilling in waters close to Cyprus but supports Cyprus’s right to extract oils in its exclusive economic zone,” said British Minister of State for Europe, Christopher Pincher.
Any oil wealth, he said, should be extracted to the benefit of all Cypriots.
Erdogan should be protecting the interests of Muslims instead of becoming a pawn in the conflict between the disbelieving Western states. The never ending conflicts between the disbelievers should give confidence to Muslims that the re-establishment of their state is much more feasible than is commonly imagined. The disbelieving powers are overwhelmed by bitter hatred of one another. Allah (swt) says in the Noble Quran:
“And from those who say, "We are Christians" We took their covenant; but they forgot a portion of that of which they were reminded. So We caused among them animosity and hatred until the Day of Resurrection. And Allah is going to inform them about what they used to do.” [al-Ma’idah:14]
America has no option but to continue dialogue with the Taliban over Afghanistan
Despite US President Trump’s recent highly-publicised and dramatic cancellation of talks with the Taliban, America has in reality no other option except to continue negotiations with them. According to Reuters:
A Taliban delegation met U.S. special representative for Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad for more than an hour on Thursday, two sources told Reuters, the first known contact between the sides since U.S. President Donald Trump called off talks last month.
Trump halted the talks, which aimed at a plan to withdraw U.S. troops from Afghanistan in exchange for Taliban security guarantees, following the death of a U.S. soldier and 11 others in a Taliban bomb attack in Kabul.
The Taliban is ready to stand by a tentative agreement struck in Doha before Trump canceled the talks, according to Pakistan’s foreign minister and sources from the militant group, who said the insurgents were eager to resume negotiations.
However the meeting in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad did not represent a resumption of formal negotiations, official sources cautioned.
“The Taliban officials held a meeting with Zalmay Khalilzad ... all I can tell you is that Pakistan played a big role in it to convince them how important it was for the peace process,” a senior Pakistan official told Reuters, but declined to be identified as he was not authorized to speak publicly.
America is undoubtedly the world superpower but it’s simply not possible even for America to single-handedly project overwhelming power to the other side of the globe. The only reason that America is even able to talk to the Taliban is because of the relentless pressure of the treacherous Pakistan leadership that has betrayed the Muslims of Pakistan and Afghanistan at every opportunity. Muslims will not be free of their troubles until they re-establish the Islamic Khilafah (Caliphate) State on the method of the Prophet (saw) that will serve the interests of the Muslims and their Deen and eliminate the presence of the foreign disbelieving armies on Muslim lands.
