The UN Special Representative for Afghanistan, Deborah Lyons, while addressing at the meeting of the UN Security Council on Afghanistan reiterated that the situation ahead in Afghanistan is uncertain, thus a roadmap and an overseeing mandate is needed for Afghanistan to actively return to the global family.

While the world was closely following the latest developments in the Russian-Ukrainian war, a remarkable statement came from the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. In the final week of February 2022, the world witnessed the invasion of Ukraine by Russia.
