ERDOĞAN'S ONLINE MEETING WITH 26 US COMPANIES

Prior to his first face-to-face meeting with US President Biden, President Erdoğan held a meeting with the executives of US large companies. Reuters news agency reported that the top executives of about 20 companies, including Boeing, Amazon, Microsoft, Kellogg, PepsiCo, Cisco, Procter & Gamble and Johnson & Johnson, participated in the meeting. The UN Human Rights Council adopted a resolution calling for an investigation of violations in the Gaza Strip and in Israel, including in East Jerusalem. It is reported that the commission created for this will deal with both recent events during the last exacerbation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, and "systematic violations" of human rights.

On May 13, news agency nuz.uz reported: “Today, 2.5 million people have performed festive prayer in 2021 mosques throughout Uzbekistan. These figures were reported by the Committee for Religious Affairs. On the day of Ramadan Khayit, 497 thousand believers performed a festive prayer in 106 mosques in Tashkent.
