Syrian Peace Talks:
Merely a political move by US to be back in control and to help the tyrant Bashar

News:

09th March 2016: Syrian peace talks: release of political prisoners is next hurdle

Britain is backing calls from the Syrian opposition operating under the umbrella of the High Negotiations Committee for the release of detainees held by the Syrian government. The HNC has already submitted a list of more than 170 political prisoners, and points to support for their release in successive UN resolutions.

The UN special envoy, Staffan de Mistura, has made clear he wants the talks to be substantive, covering a constitution and elections – both presidential and parliamentary – in 18 months’ time. It is unlikely the talks will recommence in March without tangible progress on prisoner release. (Source: theguardian)

Comment:

The High Negotiation Committee is hoping the peace talk would release the Syrian detainees, though the status of life of the detainees is most probably known. Based on Syrian Network for Human Rights report, that more than 65,000 people, most of them civilians, were forcibly disappeared between March 2011 and August 2015 remained missing.

The tyrant regime Bashar al-Assad who has no sympathy of killing children, women and the elderly, blocking the humanitarian access to the area of civilians who are against him, dying, eating grass, will not follow such conditions. For the hard-hearted Bashar, whoever does not follow him or is against him is “terrorist” regardless a child or woman. He and his regime will do everything to force Syrian people bow to him like a God.

In the interview with AFP in February 2016, Bashar has said that he intends to retake the whole country from rebel forces. The continuous fighting between the rebel forces, ISIS and Syrian Government military make it impossible for any peace talk for Syria to be succeeded. Besides it only involves a few members of Syrian coalition groups, US and Russia but excludes ISIS and other Islamic rebel forces.

The peace talk is not a plan to remove Bashar but merely a change of plan by U.S in the name of U.N to take back full control of the situation in Syria. This was driven after last year Russia's involvement on Syria conflict. Russia has launched airstrikes which claimed to attack the “moderate" Muslims backed by the US government which asked Russia for the joint coordination attack but has been failed.

On 15th December 2015, John Kerry mentioned clearly the US plan for Syria. The same message he had conveyed to his counterpart during the meeting in Russia on 17th December 2015.

"The United States and our partners are not seeking so-called regime change," Kerry said in reference to the US's preferred outcome to the Syrian civil war

The peace talk is also for the U.S, Russia and other regional power to find a common ground of understanding and action plan to help Bashar remove the “terrorist”. This is aligning with what Bashar has said during the interview with the Italian state in November 2015,

Bashar told Italian state television the timetable for elections "starts after starting to defeat terrorism”. Syrian Regime is failing so they need assistance from the global power

Muslim shouldn’t give any hope on this Peace Talk led by the Kuffar because it will only benefit the Syria Regime to remain in power hence later to claim that they are following the democratic system for the “fair and just” power transition. In the end, the Syrian people will not gain anything, the Syrian Regime and their allies will continue to be in power. Even said that the plan for Assad transition is in 2017, but the Assad legacy will continue similar as what had happened in Egypt.

[وَمَكَروا وَمَكَرَ اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ خَيرُ الماكِرينَ]
