US Nuclear Summit
More than 50 world leaders are gathered at this time in Washington to discuss nuclear non-proliferation, although President Putin of Russia, which possesses about half of the world's nuclear weapons and materials, was absent. This is the fourth and final nuclear summit convened by President Obama.
Obama calls himself a 'multilateralist' and so favours diplomatic engagement with large numbers of other governments. But it should be clear that US will always conduct such engagements for its own self-interest alone. The true goal of US non-proliferation policy is to maintain US superiority in nuclear weapons and prevent new threats emerging against it.
It is the essential nature of the Western Capitalist ideology that its peoples and leaders are strongly conditioned towards self-interest and are unable to think of the interests of others in the same way. It is this burning self-interest that led the West to develop weapons of mass destruction. Just a few centuries ago, when the Islamic Khilafah "Caliphate" was the world superpower, war was conducted according to very strict rules that prevented excessive harm even to enemy military forces let alone to civilians. Such was the world public opinion generated by the Khilafah "Caliphate" State that all armies in the world practiced such ethics, even those within Europe. However with the decline of the Ottoman State in the nineteenth century, leading Western powers returned to barbaric practices in war, specifically targeting their attacks on civilian populations with the stated intention of quickly breaking their enemies' ability to fight. The development of nuclear weapons, which can only be intended for civilian populations, is the culmination of this secular Western war doctrine.
The world will remain a dangerous place as long as nuclear weapons remain in the control of states that are openly pledged to work for their own self-interest alone. True peace and stability requires that a sincere Islamic leadership emerges to rebuild the Islamic State as the world superpower, acquiring nuclear weapons to safeguard the interests of all of the peoples of the world, not only its own.
Refugees to be returned to Turkey
From Monday, all refugees arriving on the Greek islands on 20 March or after that will be returned to Turkey. For every Syrian that they return, they will take another from Turkey. By doing so Europeans will achieve a number of objectives. Primarily, they will strongly discourage unofficial migration to the Greek islands and reduce the uncontrolled movement of refugees, while at the same time appearing to offer a 'legitimate' route for Syrian refugees. But more importantly, they will be able to choose which refugees to take and which not to.
In truth, the refugees from Syria are a great opportunity for Europe's leaders. Faced with irreversible long-term decline of their ageing population base they see the often well-educated Syrian refugees as a golden opportunity to rejuvenate their populations. However, there are two complications. Firstly, they want to filter out refugees that have strong orientation towards Islam. Secondly, Western leaders are bent upon 'radicalising' their populations against Islam. So when their peoples oppose Muslim refugees, Western leaders encourage this also and try to accept some of their anti-Muslim demands.
At least 12 US Generals in Iraq
According to analysis in the Daily Beast, there are at least 12 US officers of general rank in Iraq, and maybe many more than this, which indicates a much larger US military presence than is being admitted. Officially, there are less than four thousand troops, which is the number commanded by some officers of colonel rank. So why are 12 generals needed for this?
Just adding those involved in regular support functions, mostly contractors, means that the US has in excess of ten thousand personnel in Iraq. This is not including special forces, and their contractors, whose number is completely unknown.
Pakistan caught between Saudi and Iran
After the visit of Iranian President Rouhani to Pakistan, the Indian Prime Minister Modi is now visiting Saudi Arabia.
The Pakistani leadership is aware that the US is promoting both the Saudi and Iranian regimes in the region, so they are confused as to how to forge relations with them both at the same time. The Saudi regime is strongly pressing Pakistan to involve in military operations. But Pakistan does not want to become exposed to any threat from Iran which is its Western neighbour.
Pakistan won Iranian favour by limiting its role in the war in Yemen. Pakistan wants to capitalise on this goodwill by pressing Iran to stop facilitating Indian intelligence agents from its territory against Pakistan. A supposed Indian agent was allegedly caught just as President Rouhani made his visit to Pakistan, and the matter was raised with him in discussions, though he later denied this.
At the same time, by visiting Saudi Arabia, Modi of India is taking advantage of Pakistan's recent tension to repair its own relations there. Previously Modi reached out to the Gulf States when they became angry at Pakistan's hesitancy in Yemen.
The varied machinations of Muslim regimes against each other is in accordance with Western planning to keep the region preoccupied with itself. It will continue until Muslims are united under a single leadership.
