Italian town prints its own currency to fight austerity measures
If you're a small-town mayor unhappy with your national government, there's one thing you can do: declare independence and start issuing currency with your face on it. Just ask the mayor (or should we say, prince?) of Filettino, Italy. Italy is right in the middle of the larger sovereign debt crisis going on in Europe, which is shaking the confidence of markets across the globe. The Italian government has issued a number of austerity measures to get its books in order, including plans to merge the governments of towns with less than 1,000 people to cut costs. That's 1,963 towns total. But Luca Sellari, the mayor of Filettino, Italy, is fighting back. Rather than give into the national government's demands, Sellari wants his central Italian town of 598 to become an independent state under a monarch. Who would be the monarch, you ask? Well, Sellari, of course. "It's everyone's dream to be a prince," he told The New York Times.
Printing more money to address a lack of confidence in fiat money is a recipe for failure and will only lead to inflation. The only solution is to return to the gold standard. This is where paper money is backed by gold and silver, and prices automatically stabilise.

Wealthy Germans want to pay more taxes
Wealthy Germans are joining what is becoming a European trend: Ultra rich people saying they are willing to carry a higher tax burden in order to help the continent's economies struggling with crushing levels of debt. "I would have no problem if the top tax rate were to be raised," said Michael Otto, who is worth more than $16 billion ($11 billion) and heads up the massive mail order company of the same name.  Martin Kind, president of the Hannover 96 Bundesliga football club and head of a firm making hearing aids, echoed Otto's words while adding the condition that the national debt be addressed. "A few percentage points in higher taxes won't make the wealthy poor," said rock musician Marius Müller-Westernhagen. The words echo similar statements from famed US billionaire Warren Buffet, who has called on the rich to shoulder more of the burden during tough economic times. Sixteen wealthy French citizens, including Christophe de Margerie of oil giant Total and L'Oréal heir Liliane Bettencourt, signed a petition earlier this month, asking the government to increase their taxes. The French government has since proposed a three-percent surcharge for the country's ultra rich. Germany itself has a back-and-forth history of both wealthy people offering to pay more taxes and government officials criticizing their excesses.  A group of about 50 wealthy Germans called the Initiative of the Wealthy for a Wealth Tax, has been calling for higher taxes on the wealthy for some time now.
The monopoly of the super rich over the world's wealth, treasures and resources exists only because there is no other ideology to challenge their greed and hegemony. Islam is the only ideology in the world that categorically forbids the super rich from hoarding their wealth and mandates that they share it with the people. Allah mentions in Surah Al Hashr a translated meaning of which is: "And what Allah restored to His Messenger from the people of the towns - it is for Allah and for the Messenger and for [his] near relatives and orphans and the [stranded] traveler - so that it will not be a perpetual distribution among the rich from among you. And whatever the Messenger has given you - take; and what he has forbidden you - refrain from. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty." [Al-Hashr, 59:7]

Jewish State dispatches 2 warships to Egyptian border
The Jewish military said Monday that it has sent two additional warships to the Red Sea border with Egypt following warnings that militants are planning another attack from Egyptian soil. Monday saw IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen Benny Gantz order the deployment across the entire southern sector, especially in the area near the Jewish State's border with Egypt. The southern sector, and especially the area adjacent to the border, has been virtually flooded with military forces, deployed in a manner defined by one security source as "unprecedented." No changes in security alignments were observed on the Egyptian side of the border.
It is clear that the Jewish state is an avowed enemy of Egypt, so why does the military regime insist on maintaining cordial ties with Jewish state. If the regime was sincere to Islam and Muslims it would: renege on Egypt's treaty with Israel, cut all diplomatic ties, stop the sale of gas and treat the Jewish state as the enemy of Muslims. Furthermore, the regime should take all measures to liberate Palestine from the Zionist occupation.

Iran's supreme leader warns against U.S. benefit from uprisings
Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, congratulated the "revolutionaries" behind the so-called Arab Spring rebellions but warned them against allowing the United States to take advantage of the upheaval, reflecting the Iranian leadership's deep unease with the uprisings that have swept the region. "If the Muslim nations stand against those who interfere in their internal affairs, these nations will experience progress," Khamenei said Wednesday. "But if the world of oppression and world Zionism, including the oppressive regime of the United States, take control, the Muslim world will experience major problems for decades."
So why does not Iran take the lead in standing up to America and helping Muslims to liberate themselves from the shackles of imperialism.  This is because Iran is actively involved in helping America cement its rule in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan. Allah (SWT) says in the Quran: "Have you seen those who claim to believe in the revelation revealed to you and the revelation revealed earlier? They seek the ruling of taghoot (non-Islam) although they have been ordered to disbelieve in it." [TMQ An-Nisa: 60].

Iraq and Afghanistan: US loses $60 billion in waste and fraud
As much as $60 billion in US funds has been lost to waste and fraud in Iraq and Afghanistan over the past decade through lax oversight of contractors, poor planning and corruption, an independent panel investigating US wartime spending estimates. In its final report to Congress, the Commission on Wartime Contracting said the figure could grow as US support for reconstruction projects and programs wanes, leaving both countries to bear the long-term costs of sustaining the schools, medical clinics, barracks, roads and power plants already built with American tax dollars. Much of the waste and fraud could have been avoided, the commission said. Government agencies should overhaul the way they award and manage contracts in war zones so they don't repeat the mistakes made in Iraq and Afghanistan, the commission said. Among the report's 15 recommendations are the creation of an inspector general to monitor contracting during contingency operations and the appointment of a senior government official to improve planning and coordination. The Associated Press obtained a copy of the commission's 240-page report in advance of its scheduled public release on Wednesday.
Allah (swt ) in the Quran: "Indeed, Those Who Disbelieve Spend Their Wealth To Avert [People] From The Way Of Allah . So They Will Spend It; Then It Will Be For Them   [Source Of] Regret; Then They Will Be Overcome. And Those Who Have Disbelieved - Unto Hell They Will Be Gathered." [TMQ 8:36]
