Decision on NSG Mandates Awareness of US Vision for India and Pakistan

Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz said on 12 June 2016 that Pakistan’s credentials for membership of the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) were stronger than India’s if the 48-nation cartel agreed to follow uniform criteria for non-NPT states. In an interview to DawnNews, Mr Aziz said that Pakistan had diplomatically engaged many countries over the criteria-based approach for non-NPT countries and if the group followed uniform criteria, then Pakistan had better credentials than India for the NSG membership.

However, Pakistan's decision to join the NSG must be based on awareness of the US agenda for such joining. The NSG comprises of 48 members but the actual influence is controlled by the major nuclear powers, in particular the US. The NSG aims to control the spread of nuclear weapons by controlling the export and re-transfer of materials that could be used to develop nuclear weapons, and to improve safety measures and protection of existing nuclear materials. The NSG decides which countries are allowed to buy nuclear materials and technologies and the countries that are prohibited to deal with them. Selection for membership of the NSG is influenced by the major nuclear powers, especially America, according to their interests. Moreover, the Nuclear Suppliers Group cannot be effective in dealing with nuclear proliferation, and control of exports of materials by countries, without major nuclear powers controlling it, through export controls and in particular the ranks of dual-use items. This is the area of the exploitation of the interests of the major powers, especially America, by allowing and prohibiting with the pretext of dual-use.

The US vision for India is entirely different from that of Pakistan and so is their anticipated treatment within the NSG. Despite the fact that the regime in India is pro-America, as is the regime in Pakistan too, but the American goal for both countries is different, the goal for India is to form the spearhead in the face of China. The goal of America from the call to bring India to the NSG that this annexation will provide India the needed nuclear material for exceeding the number of nuclear warheads of China. As for the US for vision for Pakistan, it is to stand in the face of Pakistani and Afghan resistance that is anti-America. Thus, the US supplied Pakistan with conventional weapons to fight the resistance, and not with nuclear support, even the economic and military aid to Pakistan, which increased under the Reagan administration was a way to curb the Pakistani nuclear program. In other words the aim of arming India is to weaken China, and the aim of arming Pakistan is to weaken the resistance.

Therefore, although joining the Nuclear Suppliers Group facilitates access to nuclear materials and accessories which helps in the speed of production and development, etc. but this must be accompanied by awareness and understanding of the schemes of those governing nations, so that joining becomes the way for the joining country to develop its nuclear program and not to be exploited by those countries.And so the Muslims must not be naive to the agendas of the people of Kufr. Allah (swt) said,

[مَا يَوَدُّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ وَلاَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ أَنْ يُنَزَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَاللَّهُ يَخْتَصُّ بِرَحْمَتِهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَاللَّهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ]   

“Neither those who followed earlier revelation who deny the truth, nor the Mushrikeen like to see good bestowed upon you from your Sustainer; but Allah bestows grace upon whom He chooses- for Allah is limitless in His great bounty.” [Surah al-Baqara 2:105]

Tensions over Durand Line are for Colonialist Divide and Rule Objectives

The Foreign Office summoned the acting Afghan envoy on 13 June 2016 to express anger over unprovoked firing by Afghan troops at the Torkham border crossing which reportedly left several Pakistani troops and civilians injured. The incident took place on 12 June 2016 when Afghan forces fired at Pakistan troops from across the border to prevent the construction of a gate at the crossing point. The skirmish also left a soldier dead and six wounded on the Afghan side. The exchange of firing continued for about seven hours on 12 June and resumed on 13 June.

The Durand Line was imposed in 1893 by the British Raj, slicing through Pushtun communities on either sides, as part of its divide and rule policy. Afghanistan still refuses to recognise it, or give up claims to a big chunk of Pakistani territory. For more than a century, travellers, traders, tribesmen have wandered freely across the Afghanistan-Pakistan border. The porous border was also helpful for hardy tribal resistance fighters, facilitating their fighting of the US occupation today and the previous Soviet Russian one. That came to an abrupt end on 1 June 2016, when for the first time, Pakistan imposed full border controls at Torkham near the Khyber Pass, used by around 15,000 people daily, causing hardship for 40 million Muslims divided by the colonialist border.

The US agents within the Raheel-Nawaz regime on one side of the Durand Line and the Ashraf Ghani regime on the other, are fighting a war of words, with occasional physical clashes, to ensure the division. It benefits the dominant colonialist power of today by pitting Muslim against Muslim and dividing their strength, so that American Neo-Colonialist of today does not meet the same fate as the British Imperialist and Soviet Russian of yesterday. Moreover, this division, allows the rise of India as the dominant regional power, according to the US division, which represent even more danger for all Muslims. Narendra Modi, India’s prime minister, opened Afghanistan’s new parliament building in December. On 4 June he inaugurated a restored dam near the western city of Herat. India financed both structures. And in may Modi and Ghani, along with Hassan Rohani, Iran’s president, struck a partnership to develop Iran’s Chabahar port which will compete with Pakistan’s China-backed port in Gwadar, just 170km east of Chabahar.

Muslims will always suffer by dividing themselves, abandoning the command of Islam to unify as one Ummah and one state under a Khaleefah Rashid. Allah (swt) said,
[إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَة] “Indeed, the Believers are but one brotherhood.” [al-Hujarat 49:10]

America's Pakistan Security Enhancement Authorization is Blood Money for Ending Resistance to Crusaders

The US Senate has passed its draft of the National Defence Authorisation Bill for the fiscal year ending 2017 on 14 June 2016, including a provision to set up a new fund to reimburse Pakistan for its efforts in the war against terrorism. The Senate version authorises $800 million under a provision called the `Pakistan Security Enhancement Authorisation’. It also fences $300m behind a similar Haqqani network provision that has existed in the annual defence authorisation acts since the fiscal year 2015. The proposed reimbursement mechanism for Pakistan replaces the Coalition Support Fund (CSF), which was used to reimburse both Afghanistan and Pakistan for their efforts to combat terrorism. Another bill, passed by the House of Representatives last week, linked $450m from a total of $900m proposed for Pakistan to take action against the Haqqani network.

Allah (swt) said,

[إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُنْفِقُونَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ لِيَصُدُّوا عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَسَيُنْفِقُونَهَا ثُمَّ تَكُونُ عَلَيْهِمْ حَسْرَةً ثُمَّ يُغْلَبُونَ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِلَى جَهَنَّمَ يُحْشَرُون] 

“Verily, those who disbelieve spend their wealth to hinder (men) from the path of Allah, and so will they continue to spend it; but in the end it will become an anguish for them. Then they will be overcome. And those who disbelieve will be gathered to Hell.” [Surah al-Anfal 8:36] The US spends money in line with its demands upon Pakistan's armed forces to crush the tribal resistance to America's military footprint in Pakistan. However, soon the Khilafah "Caliphate" (Caliphate) on the Method of the Prophethood will arise and unify the Muslims of the armed forces and tribal regions as one force to stand against the crusader presence that violates Muslim Lands and has thrown the entire region into turmoil. At that time inshaAllah Muslims will not face Muslims in a devastating war of Fitna, but will stand together in the same row, facing the enemy in Jihad as the Muslims have done since the time of RasulAllah (saaw). RasulAllah (saaw) said, «وَالْجِهَادُ مَاضٍ مُنْذُ بَعَثَنِي اللهُ إِلَى أَنْ يُقَاتِلَ آخِرُ أُمَّتِي الدَّجَّالَ، لَا يُبْطِلُهُ جَوْرُ جَائِرٍ، وَلَا عَدْلُ عَادِلٍ»“Jihad is continuous from the time Allah (swt) appointed me (as a Prophet) until the last of my Ummah fights the Dajjal, it will not be invalidated by the injustice of the unjust nor the justice of the just.” [Abu Daud]

Striving for More Democracy, the Guardian of Corruption, is Folly

Following the deadlock in the parliamentary committee on terms of reference for a commission to probe Panama Papers allegations, the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leadership held a meeting in Bani Gala on 15 June 2016 to chart out its future course of action. “As long as other political parties, including the major opposition PPP, look at the Panamagate issue the way PTI does, we are ready to join hands with them for a mass movement against the government,” PTI spokesperson Naeemul Haq said.

Rallying the opposition together in order to provide more Democracy, albeit with new faces, is a folly. It is clear that those linked to the current system, whether from the rulers or the opposition or from the political leadership or military leadership, are steeped in financial corruption to the order of billions of Rupees. Moreover, corruption, financial and otherwise, is inevitable in the current system, because Democracy is a system of whims and desires, allowing those at its helm to manipulate laws according to their interests or those of their Western masters, disregarding all that Allah (swt) has revealed. Allah (swt) said,

[وَأَنِ احْكُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ وَاحْذَرْهُمْ أَنْ يَفْتِنُوكَ عَنْ بَعْضِ مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ إِلَيْكَ]

“And judge between them by what Allah has revealed, and do not follow their desires, and beware (O Muhammad) that they might seduce you from some of what Allah has sent down to you.” [Surah Al-Maaida 5:49].

Ending corruption of all forms, financial or otherwise, mandates the abolition of Democracy and the restoration of the Khilafah "Caliphate" (Caliphate) on the Method of the Prophethood in its place and so it is upon all of us to work with Hizb ut Tahrir for the practical change that we all need and desire. Hizb ut Tahrir is fully committed and prepared for the return of Islam as a way of life, state and constitution. Hizb ut Tahrir has prepared a complete blueprint for the Khilafah "Caliphate" State, including all its details from the economic system to the education policy, based entirely on the Quran and Sunnah, as well as a comprehensive constitution of 191 articles. And Hizb ut Tahrir has prepared armies of capable politicians, men and women, who strive against the oppressors enduring all manner of persecution and hardship, fearing none but Allah (swt) and assured of RasulAllah’s (saaw) good tidings of the restoration of the Khilafah "Caliphate" on the Method of the Prophethood,«ثُمَّ تَكُونُ مُلْكًا جَبْرِيَّةً فَتَكُونُ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ تَكُونَ ثُمَّ يَرْفَعُهَا إِذَا شَاءَ أَنْ يَرْفَعَهَا ثُمَّ تَكُونُ خِلَافَةً عَلَى مِنْهَاجِ النُّبُوَّةِ ثُمَّ سَكَتَ» “Then there will be an oppressive rule, and things will be as Allah wishes them to be. Then Allah will end it when He wishes. Then there will be a Khilafah "Caliphate" on the Method of Prophethood. Then he fell silent.” (Ahmad).
