Forcing Nationalism down Muslim throats

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa on Sunday said, "Pakistan belongs to all of us without any religious, provincial, tribal, linguistic, ethnic, sectarian or any other discrimination." He said this during his visit to Parachinar and Peshawar. The COAS was given a detailed briefing on Saturday's bombing in Parachinar. He visited the injured in Kurram Agency hospital.

Since the Musharraf era every blood bath brings more promises about how forces are ready to defeat the terrorists. Special efforts are made to crush the Muslim identities and to finish any special sense of belonging to this land. Pakistan was created in the name of Islam with the slogan “Pakistan ka mutlub kya” (what does Pakistan mean?) “La illaha ila Allah” (There is no God but Allah).
People left their homes, properties and relatives to reach a land that would provide the opportunities of a life according to Islam. People lost their lives, mothers their children and women their honour to gain a life in a land where being a Muslim would be a source of pride. The wounds of the destruction of Khilafah "Caliphate" were still fresh and when people migrated they hoped they were following the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet, when he (saw) migrated from Makkah to Madinah.
It is worrisome that our leadership has to be apologetic about its religion because it has changed its religion from Islam to nationalism. What General Bajwa is trying to convey is that the nationalistic bond is superior to any other. This is against the teachings of Islam. Democracy gives the right to give personal interest higher place then the word of Allah (swt). If General Bajwa is talking against tribalism then what better words than those of the Quran.
(يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاكُم مِّن ذَكَرٍ وَأُنثَىٰ وَجَعَلْنَاكُمْ شُعُوبًا وَقَبَائِلَ لِتَعَارَفُوا إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عِندَ اللَّهِ أَتْقَاكُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌ)
O people, We have created you male and female and made you nations and tribes that you may know one another. Verily, the most noble of you to Allah is the most righteous of you. Verily, Allah is knowing and aware. [Surat Al-Hujurat 49:13]
Islam came to end all evil and is the only solution for the wrongs of today. Instead of fighting a war for the USA’s interest and then proving it to be in our nationalistic interest we must hold on to the commands of Allah (swt) and follow the Holy Prophet, in his final sermon said:
«أَلَا لَا فَضْلَ لِعَرَبِيٍّ عَلَى أَعْجَمِيٍّ وَلَا لِعَجَمِيٍّ عَلَى عَرَبِيٍّ وَلَا لِأَحْمَرَ عَلَى أَسْوَدَ وَلَا أَسْوَدَ عَلَى أَحْمَرَ إِلَّا بِالتَّقْوَى أَبَلَّغْتُ»
“There is no virtue of an Arab over a foreigner nor a foreigner over an Arab, and neither white skin over black skin nor black skin over white skin, except by righteousness. Have I not delivered the message?” (Source: Musnad Ahmad)
