The West can never end sexual harassment as long as they hold to the atheistic doctrine of Freedom

News:

The past month has seen increasing numbers of allegations of sexual harassment against well-known Western personalities, beginning with the entertainment industry but spreading across society, including even politicians. The US Senate went to the extent of enacting legislation for training its members and their staff to increase personal awareness of this issue. According to Politico:

The Senate unanimously approved legislation late Thursday that institutes mandatory sexual harassment training for senators and aides — a potentially meaningful shift amid calls for overhauling Capitol Hill's system for handling harassment complaints.

Bipartisan talks on a plan to require sexual harassment training, as first reported by POLITICO, began as current and former female lawmakers and aides publicly shared their stories of sexual harassment on the job in Congress. Awareness of workplace harassment on the Hill is spiking as sexual assault allegations shake the Hollywood establishment and Republicans grappled Thursday with a report that Alabama Senate nominee Roy Moore initiated a sexual encounter with a minor while in his 30s.

The legislation approved Thursday, co-sponsored by both Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), would require harassment training that also covers discrimination based on race, religion, disability and other criteria.

“Sexual and workplace harassment is a widespread problem that affects too many women and men in too many places, professions, and industries," Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), a lead sponsor of the legislation, said in a statement. "Everyone deserves to feel safe and comfortable at work, and the passage of this official Senate policy is an important measure to ensure that’s the case in these halls.”

One of the measure's co-sponsors, Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), said Wednesday that senators also discussed changing the current guidelines for handling Hill harassment complaints, but the version that ultimately passed did not go beyond requiring training that is now voluntary.

More than 1,000 former congressional aides from the two parties have lent their voices to call for a bigger shakeup of the current protocol for handling congressional harassment cases, which requires victims to undergo mandatory counseling and mediation before filing a complaint.

Comment:

The US Senate is the top political body in the country of the superpower but, as the Politico article makes clear, sexual harassment is rampant even here, whereas Senators have limited their action to simply mandating training that was already in existence in voluntary form previously. They are not even ready to allow proper complaint reporting, fearful of what this may reveal about America’s political leaders.

As recent new stories are making increasingly clear, the culture of sexual harassment is not limited to America’s politicians but is all pervasive throughout Western society. Indeed harassment of all forms is ever present in the West from playground to workplace and even the home and family, and on a scale unimaginable by those who have spent all their lives in Muslim lands.

The doctrine of Freedom was supposed to liberate man from the oppression of others. But the reality of the idea of Freedom is that it was introduced by atheists in Christian Europe to justify their own deviant lifestyles and their rejection of Divine Law. The threatened European ruling class saw benefit in undermining the Church and so compromised with atheism, incorporating the ideas of freedom and democracy into a secular ideology that allowed religion as long as it was kept private and voluntary.

Freedom, in fact, only destructively unleashes drives and passions that increases the oppression of man by man by encouraging people to do whatever they wish. Clearly, those with greater power will be uninhibited in intimidating those with less. As Islam has made clear, the purpose of Divine Law is not to repress natural urges, but to guide and control them so that they are satisfied in a just and proper manner, without the oppression of others. This position is clear from the following verses of the Qur’an that relate to the relationship between men and women: )وَلاَ تَقْرَبُواْ الزِّنَى إِنَّهُ كَانَ فَاحِشَةً وَسَاء سَبِيلاً(“Do not go near adultery, surely it is an indecency, and an evil way [of fulfilling sexual urge].” [17:32])قُل لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَغُضُّوا مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِمْ وَيَحْفَظُوا فُرُوجَهُمْ ذَلِكَ أَزْكَى لَهُمْ( “Say to the believing men that: they should cast down their glances and guard their private parts (by being chaste). This is better for them.” [24:30])وَلْيَسْتَعْفِفِ الَّذِينَ لَا يَجِدُونَ نِكَاحًا حَتَّى يُغْنِيَهُمْ اللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ(“And those who cannot marry should practice restrain (or abstinence) till Allah enriches them out of His bounty.” [24:33]

It is the concept of responsibility that drives Muslims in this and all matters rather than the concept of Freedom as advocated by atheists and secularists. By the permission of Allah, the time is soon that Muslims will re-establish the Islamic Khilafah State (Caliphate) on the method of Prophethood, setting the example for the return of all mankind to religion and the complete rejection of atheistic thought and the secular culture that has allowed its belief and practise.
