Democratic Terrorism Championed by Hindutva Runs Havoc in India

16 Apr 2022 saw yet another ‘religious procession’ turn into clashes wrecking destruction of lives and property for communities in a Muslim concentrated economically weak suburb of Jahangirpuri in India’s capital Delhi. Apparently the 3rd festive procession in celebration of the Hindu deity Hanuman was not authorized by the Delhi Police, unlike the first two in the morning. Eyewitness narrated how firebrand Hindu mob brandishing swords, tridents, country pistols and provocative slogans in front Kushal Road Masjid around the time of Iftar led to confrontation between communities followed by stone pelting and rioting. The Delhi Police arrested 23 people (16 of them Muslims) including 2 minors. The Delhi Civic authorities followed suit on 19 Apr 2022 tearing down sections of the Masjid and nearly 20 shops as ‘illegal encroachments’ despite a Supreme Court order banning such unlawful punitive measures by Civic authorities, regardless of their legality.

Comment:

Ever since Hindu ultra-nationalist BJP led by the Mujrimoon Narendra Modi took the helms of the affairs of ruling, Muslims in particular and other minorities and Dalits in general found themselves in the quagmire of oppression, suppression and state sponsored high handedness. This has been the trend from 2014 onwards and since has kept on exacerbating significantly, reaching outrageous culmination lately. The Covid-19 pandemic provided the apparent lull post the CAA-NRC communal fiasco but with the seemingly controlled pandemic now, the communal agenda is yet again playing the havoc.

Prior to Jahangirpuri incident, communal clashes broke out in five states - Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Rajasthan and West Bengal during the celebrations of Ram Navami the Hindu festival which marks the birth of Hindu deity Rama. The latest communal mischief was repeated in the Capital Delhi’s Jahangirpuri resulting in a clash when the Hindu mob tried to desecrate the sanctity of a Masjid. It seemed to be intently orchestrated campaigns of incitement, provocation and then blaming the Muslims for the ensuing brawl and conflict. The pattern and modus operandi of these ‘Shobha Yatras’ (Procession of Grace) are strikingly similar across the different states. Provocative processions design to evoke clashes with Muslims, followed by polarized Police actions punishing Muslims, followed by State Civic authorities bull-dozing Muslim settlements in an extra-judicial manner claiming to be independent actions of dealing with encroachments. Not to mention the toxic media and social media narratives demanding for tougher measures to rid Muslims in India.

The situation of the Muslims can be seen through the Quran verse, where Allah (swt) says in Surah Al-Burooj:

(وَمَا نَقَمُوا مِنْهُمْ إِلَّا أَنْ يُؤْمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَمِيدِ)

“they did not take revenge with them except that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!”

The climate of provocation and aggression inflicted on the Muslims in India by sections of people and government agencies clearly demonstrates the failure of the largest democracy with regards to building civic sense, respecting fellow citizens and rule of law. The failure is very intrinsic to Democracy that survives and relishes in gaining vote share by all means, including terrorizing a section of its own citizens. The failure is all to clear not just in India, but in Europe and America as well. It is a striking contrast when it comes to actions of state ruled by Islamic principles. The Hadith of Prophet (saw) equates attack on Dhimmi (non-Muslim citizens of state) as an attack on the Prophet (saw) himself, thus defending the Dhimmi is defending the Prophet (saw) himself.

The state precipitated democratic terrorism is quite clear and not a paradox where India abstains to vote against Russian aggression of Ukraine with a view to securing its defense procurement (from Russia) despite the destruction Russia brings to the citizens of Ukraine. Again, actions decided by benefit as the only value leads to such stances throughout the world.

However, the BJP’s terrorizing of its own citizens is tacitly approved by Western powers. Their priorities and profits to woo the BJP leadership at all levels in order to gain favorable business contracts exceeds the value of life and property which they routinely profess in public and it remains in words and not in actions. The UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s visit to a JCB factory, during the recent India tour on 21, 22 Apr 2022 seemed a tacit approval by Britain, willing to look away when such JCB bull-dozers were becoming a symbol of state terrorism in India! Further, the lack of accountability by rulers of the Muslim world, awards a license-to-oppress to the BJP leadership and makes it even worse for the Muslims in India, when they yearn for the solidarity that is expected from the Muslim Ummah.

Thus it is all too evident, that Democratic systems of all sorts are geared to fail their citizens and citizens of the rest of the world when it comes to security. The return of the Khilafah (Caliphate) system, on the method of the Prophethood, will demonstrate to the world the manner of protecting its own citizens and also standing up for the security of the men, women and children of the rest of the world – Bidnillah.

«واتق دعوة المظلوم فإنه ليس بينها وبين الله حجاب»‏
