For Real Change, Abandon Democracy and Demand Nussrah for Khilafah

An Islamabad district and sessions court on 17th August 2022 approved a two-day physical remand, for the PTI leader, Shahbaz Gill, at the request of the capital’s police. The judge also directed the investigation officer, to arrange a medical examination of Mr. Gill, and submit a report to the court.

Comment:

Mr. Shahbaz Gill is a Chief of Staff for Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister and founding chairman of Pakistan Tahreek-i-Insaf (PTI). He has been one of the staunch supporter of Imran Khan. Mr. Gill is notorious for abusive language against his political opponents, the Pakistan Democratic Alliance (PDM) parties. He was arrested on 9th August 2022, for his statement, in which he allegedly provoked the rank and file of the army, into refusing orders of Pakistan’s military command, which practically rules Pakistan.

Since the arrest of Mr. Gill, it is quite obvious that the PTI and its founding chairman, Imran Khan, are under tremendous pressure. Since this arrest, PTI is distancing itself from the stance of Mr. Gill. PTI has clearly lowered its rhetoric against “neutrals,” within the military leadership.

The ongoing containment of a political party is nothing new in the politics of Pakistan. Although, all the political parties in Pakistan are pro-America, from time to time they stretch their wings, beyond the role the military leadership has defined for them. Whenever any political party undertakes such, the military leadership, with the blessing of America, cuts its feathers, by either ending their regime, or disqualifying their main leadership, or forcing their leadership into exile. This has happened to the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), many times. So history is repeated today in Pakistan, once again. This time the target is the PTI.

In Democracy, no political party can go against the wishes of America, because the military leadership is completely obedient to Washington. Even if a party comes to power with a two-thirds majority, it will never act independently of US interests. In the past we saw the ouster of regimes, who have had a two-thirds majority, in the national assembly. So, whoever thinks that their political party can secure a majority in Democracy, to achieve independence from the colonialists, is sadly mistaken.

In order to bring a real change, we must abandon Democracy, which is always America’s horse, irrespective of its jockey. We must follow the Method of the Messenger of Allah (saw) for change. The Messenger of Allah (saw) worked on three levels, to bring a comprehensive change, the masses, the influential and the people of power. In Makkah, the three tiers did not align upon Islam. Instead the people of power offered the Messenger (saw) participation in their system of kufr, which he firmly rejected. In contrast, in Madina, the people of power gave their supportive Nussrah, through the Second Pledge of Aqabah, allowing the complete implementation of Islam, without compromise or gradualism.

So in Pakistan or in any other part of the Muslim world, real change, the complete implementation of Islam, can only take place when the people of power, the armed forces, give Nussrah to those that will establish the Khilafah (Caliphate) upon the method of the Prophethood. Let us abandon Democracy and demand from armed forces their Nussrah for Hizb ut Tahrir.
