The Authorities of Kyrgyzstan Continue to Persecute Dawah Carriers

October 31, 2022 The press service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic on its web page reported: “The activities of the underground cell of the Religious Extremist Organization (REO)“Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami” have been suppressed. On October 27, 2022, within the framework of the criminal case initiated under Article 332 part 2 (Production, distribution of extremist materials) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, 11 active members of the REO "Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami”.

As a result of the searches, a large amount of extremist literature, leaflets, mobile phones, electronic media and reports on the cell's financial activities were seized. These persons systematically conducted religious classes to promote extremist ideology, and also distributed extremist materials through social networks. The detainees were placed in the pre-trial detention center of the State Committee for National Security of the Jalal-Abad region. Investigative and operational actions are underway to establish their additional criminal ties.”

Comment:

The authorities of Kyrgyzstan continue to persecute dawah carriers, accusing them of criminal extremist activity. The security forces use unfounded accusations against the Hizb Shabab (members). Let me remind you that Hizb ut Tahrir was banned by the decision of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan in August 2003 and included in the list of extremist organizations. Since then, hundreds of brothers and sisters have been arrested, vailed, and many have become martyrs.

As can be seen from the materials of criminal cases and media statements, everything that is seized during searches in the homes of brothers and sisters is the Quran, hadiths and party literature based on the Quran and the Sunnah. These books, including the Quran and hadiths, are classed as extremist literature at the suggestion of government experts. That is, the accusations of extremism of dawah carriers by the authorities are connected only with the fact that the Hizb Shabab call on the Muslims of the country to comply with the instructions of the Quran and Hadith and put these instructions into practice.

Naturally, this power, the power of Taghut, built on the separation of religion from life, secularism and tyranny, will persecute the sincere Muslims and Muslim women of the country, calling for the revival of the Islamic way of life. This criminal power uses brute force against the defenseless Muslims of the country, breaking into their homes under cover of night, like thieves and robbers. They are unable to provide an alternative to the ideas of the Hizb or to refute the thoughts of the Hizb with a clearer and purer idea for life, and so they fight against dawah carriers with brute physical force.

But these trials, persecution by the authorities, arrests, and torture are not new for Hizb Shabab and dawah carriers. The Prophet Muhammad (saw) himself and his noble Companions were subjected to such trials. The Hizb Shabab, like the Sahaba (ra), pass these tests with dignity in many countries of the world, and in particular in the prisons of the tyrants of Kyrgyzstan. Despite the arrests and persecution, the carriers of the dawah, in the hope of the promises of Allah and His mercy, each time more actively lead their call. Hizb, both in Kyrgyzstan and in other parts of the world, has worked and is working, despite all the hardships, and continues its activities to revive the Islamic way of life according to the method of Prophethood. Allah Almighty said in His Noble Book:

(وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنكُمْ وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَيَسْتَخْلِفَنَّهُم فِي الْأَرْضِ كَمَا اسْتَخْلَفَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَلَيُمَكِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ دِينَهُمُ الَّذِي ارْتَضَى لَهُمْ وَلَيُبَدِّلَنَّهُم مِّن بَعْدِ خَوْفِهِمْ أَمْنًا يَعْبُدُونَنِي لَا يُشْرِكُونَ بِي شَيْئًا وَمَن كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ)

“Allah has promised those of you who believe and do good that He will certainly make them successors in the land, as He did with those before them; and will surely establish for them their faith which He has chosen for them; and will indeed change their fear into security—provided that they worship Me, associating nothing with Me. But whoever disbelieves after this promise, it is they who will be the rebellious.” [24:55].
