Coup in Niger: The Khilafah, the Only State That Will Save Chaotic Africa from the West and its Agents

News:

Niger’s President Mohamed Bazoum has been ousted from office by a group of soldiers, hours after members of his guard detained him at the presidential palace in the capital, Niamey, throwing the country into political turmoil. Colonel Amadou Abdramane, spokesperson of the group, said on Wednesday, 27 July 2023, that defense and security forces had decided to “put an end to the regime that you know due to the deteriorating security situation and bad governance.” (Source: Aljazeera)

Comment:

This is the fifth coup in Niger’s history since its attainment of the so-called independence from its French colonial master since 1960. Other military takeovers were witnessed in 1974, 1996, 1999 and 2010. A study by two US researchers, Jonathan Powell and Clayton Thyne, has identified over 200 such attempts in Africa since the 1950s.

Reactions from regional and international parties relating to the military takeover with African Union’s Peace and Security Council along with ECOWAS (both European agents in Africa) demanding military personnel to immediately and unconditionally return to their barracks and restore constitutional authority, within a maximum period of fifteen (15) days”. France, the former colonial power and US, both have military bases in the uranium-rich country - and have strongly condemned the coup. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken called up Mr Bazoum promising Washington's "unwavering support".

It was obvious for France to condemn and criticize the coup in Niger this is the fact this might be a loss of her closest ally in the region, since the first putsch in Mali in 2020, four of what remains of the G5 Sahel [Burkina Faso, Chad, Mali, Mauritania]. Under the pretext of war on ‘Jihadists’, France and US have deployed and trained soldiers of Africa’s Sahel region. France has 1,500 soldiers in the country who conduct joint operations with the Nigeriens. The United States and other European countries have helped train the nation’s troops.

Although insecurity and corruption might have contributed to the coup in Niger, there is an obvious factor which is a colonial fight among the West to extend their influence so that they can plunder its wealth. The country which has a vast Muslim population has not been spared from foreign invasion from cultural to political and has left the masses in a sluggish economy. The ruling agents including the seized president Mohamad Bazoum have been working to secure interests of colonizers what they want in order to obtain a crooked chair while they are humiliated.

Sadly, there is no Islamic force like the one in the awaited Khilafah Rashidah (rightly guided Caliphate) state, Allah willing, to confront colonial invasions and expel them from Africa. This the only state that will bring honor to Africa and its people.
