Banning Fireworks When Missiles Are Required

In an address to the nation on 28 December 2023, PM Kakar said, “Keeping in mind the seriously concerning situation in Palestine and to show solidarity with our Palestinian brothers and sisters, there will be a strict ban by the government on holding any kind of event for New Year.” (Dawn)

New Year’s Eve is usually marked in boisterous fashion in Pakistan, with fireworks and aerial gunfire. The Arab states are also adopting the style of banning celebrations, such as Sharjah, an emirate of the United Arab Emirates. On 28 December, it also banned New Year's Eve fireworks over the war in Gaza. However, banning fireworks is eyewash, when the need of the time is the launching of missiles, to neutralize the Zionist air defense and provide support for a ground offensive by Muslim armies. Pakistan’s Shaheen III ballistic missile has a range of 2750 km, which can easily target Tel Aviv.

Banning celebration as support, when war is mandatory, is a sad state of affairs for the world’s seventh largest military, with nuclear weapons, in a state made in the name of Islam. Is that all the government can do to protect the honor of Muslims and Islam? In the time of the Khilafah, armies were mobilized in support of the oppressed. However, the agent rulers of Muslims resort to banning fireworks, in response to the martyring of 21000 innocent Palestinians. We have surely stooped down to a low level indeed. This treacherous leadership will only take steps that strengthen the hands of the entity of Jews, by buying it more time. The ones in authority are accountable for their power and influence they are given. They cannot just resort to toothless condemnations and such useless initiatives. They do not relieve the burning hearts of oppressed women and children who yearn to hear the marching, and thundering takbeer, of the brave SSG soldiers, in their support.

After abandoning the Muslims of Gaza to bombing, famine, cold and disease, these treacherous rulers also now call for a two-state solution, a long-proposed colonialist solution. It practically means one state for the Zionist occupiers, and one open prison for Palestinians, guarded by the entity of the Jews. This solution is not acceptable by Islam. It is Haram to even give away one hand span of the land of the Muslims to the Kuffar. Allah (swt) says in the Noble Quran,

[وَٱقْتُلُوهُمْ حَيْثُ ثَقِفْتُمُوهُمْ وَأَخْرِجُوهُم مِّنْ حَيْثُ أَخْرَجُوكُمْ ۚ وَٱلْفِتْنَةُ أَشَدُّ مِنَ ٱلْقَتْلِ]

“And kill them [in battle] wherever you overtake them and expel them from wherever they have expelled you, and fitnah is worse than killing.” [TMQ Surah Al-Baqarah 2:191].

O Officers of Pakistan Army! O Sons of Muhammad bin Qassim! The token measures of the government do not represent your emotions and aspirations. You anxiously await the orders to liberate the Blessed Land of Isra and Miraj. Indeed, the weak and needy turn to the caring and strong. So, the Islamic World gazes upon you in its hour of need. Grant support to the weak and distressed who call out to you in pain. Why are the willing and capable troops still being denied the blessing of opening the doors of a liberated al-Masjid al-Aqsa, with their hands?

Abide by the commandments of Allah (swt). Topple the thrones and mobilize for the liberation of Palestine, lighting up the skies of Tel Aviv with missiles. Give the whole Islamic Ummah a real reason to celebrate. It is time to rise together, time to move, severing our ties to Western states, and prioritizing the liberation of Palestine. Indeed, Allah (swt) will judge us by the actions we take to support the oppressed.

Be humble and compassionate with the believers, and stern with the attacking kuffar. Now, will Allah (swt) use you, O officers, or will He replace you with ones that will? Allah (swt) said,

[يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَن يَرْتَدَّ مِنكُمْ عَن دِينِهِۦ فَسَوْفَ يَأْتِى ٱللَّهُ بِقَوْمٍۢ يُحِبُّهُمْ وَيُحِبُّونَهُۥٓ أَذِلَّةٍ عَلَى ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَعِزَّةٍ عَلَى ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ يُجَـٰهِدُونَ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا يَخَافُونَ لَوْمَةَ لَآئِمٍۢ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ فَضْلُ ٱللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ]

“O believers! Whoever among you abandons their faith, Allah will replace them with others who love Him and are loved by Him. They will be humble with the believers but firm towards the disbelievers, struggling in the Way of Allah; fearing no blame from anyone. This is the favour of Allah. He grants it to whoever He wills. And Allah is All-Bountiful, All-Knowing.” [TMQ Surah Al Maidah 5: 54].
