Allies who Destroyed the Arrogant Russia

News:

Russia threatens the United States over plans to deploy American long-range missiles on German territory. Moscow promises “mirror measures.”

“If the United States of America implements such plans, we will consider ourselves free from the previously taken unilateral moratorium on the deployment of medium- and shorter-range strike weapons, including increasing the capabilities of the coastal forces of our navy,” said Russian President V. Putin. Source: https://www.rbc.ua/ukr/news/putin-nakinuvsya-pogrozami-ssha-cherez-rozmishchennya-1722157734.html

Comment:

Almost two and a half years have passed since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. Throughout this time, the initiative in this crisis undoubtedly belongs to the United States. Perhaps someone will disagree and say that it was Russia that took the first steps in this war and that it continues to exert pressure on the battlefield.

Yes, indeed, in the first weeks the initiative was on the side of Russia, which carried out a successful operation of a lightning invasion of the territory of Ukraine, when Russian troops were 25 kilometers from the government quarter in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv.

However, just a few weeks later, and even on March 3 and 7, 2022, during Ukrainian-Russian negotiations in Belarus, it became obvious that Russia had fallen into a skillful trap in Ukraine, which America had woven for it.

One can talk about many reasons for the failure of the Russian military campaign in Ukraine, be it incorrect military intelligence, as well as incorrect assessments of the political mood of the Ukrainian people, which created for Russia the illusion of an easy victory in the event of a full-scale invasion, similar to what happened in Crimea in the spring of 2014.

However, the main mistake of Russia, which has already become the reason for the defeat in this war, is the fact that Putin’s power is the power of military people (including security forces), devoid of political insight and ingenuity.

This primacy of military methods over political ones is characteristic not only of Putin’s Russia, but also of Russia for many centuries. Even the Russian Tsar Alexander III (1845-1894) said: “In the whole world we have only 2 faithful allies - our army and navy.”

After Putin came to power in 1999, the process of ousting political methods began again due to the introduction of methods of the military and security forces from the Russian political elite, already infected with these thoughts.

For example, Russian translator, cultural scientist and historian, candidate of historical sciences K. V. Dushenko, notes that since the 2000s, the statement about Russia’s two allies has become extremely popular among the political elite of Russia, and, according to the researcher, “sometimes a third is added to two allies.” Over the years, these words in various variations were used in his speeches by V.V. Putin (“...Alexander III once said: everyone is afraid of our enormity. And therefore we have only two allies - the army and the navy”), V.V. Zhirinovsky (“We had Tsar Alexander III, he said that Russia has only two allies - its army and navy”), G. A. Zyuganov (“The army is the second church, the second temple for our State, and today Russia has three allies - the army, navy and Belarus "), D. O. Rogozin ("Russia has three allies - the army, navy and defense industry ") and other Russian politicians. In a slightly modified form, the quote was included in the song “ Uncle Vova, we are with you ” by Vyacheslav and Nikolai Antonov, which was first performed in 2017: “Our true friends are the Navy and the Army.”

Today Russia is sick with precisely the disease that Taqyuddin Nabhani talks about in the second volume of the book “Islamic Personality” in the topic “The meaning of the Caliph taking command of the army.” In the second half of this topic, he warns about the threat posed to the security of any people and their state by the coming to power of people with a military mentality.

Undoubtedly, government is a political matter that requires political literacy, intelligence and ingenuity. The armed apparatus of the state in the hands of the ruler is one of the instruments that must be used in conjunction with other instruments. The state's foreign policy must be comprehensive, where political plans, methods and maneuvers, along with military means, will ensure a situation where all these instruments will complement and strengthen each other. The coming of people with a military mentality to power leads to the fact that they, being specialists in a certain field, can make omissions in ideological and political aspects.

The penchant for unilateral military action without taking into account the international political situation, along with a disregard for political maneuvers, has brought even the strongest superpowers to their knees throughout history.

The latest example is the US attempt, under the leadership of neoconservatives, to unilaterally occupy Iraq in 2003. Then, without receiving the sanction of the UN Security Council, America announced a unilateral invasion of Iraq. The neoconservatives spat on the international situation and decided to end the Iraqi issue by force. Things got to the point that the US Secretary of Defense of that time, D. Rumsfeld, began calling the European superpowers that opposed his country “old Europe.” We all remember what political damage this led to for the international image of the United States.

The fact that its military spending exceeds that of the next 10 countries combined did not help the United States. And this while among these countries are all the modern superpowers plus China and Germany.”

Returning to the Ukrainian crisis, the Russian political leadership, subordinate to the influence of the military, despite historical, linguistic, demographic and geographical proximity to Ukrainians, suffered a complete collapse in its attempts to project its political influence on Ukraine. Her final argument was "army and navy", namely physical invasion and annexation of territories. And this is in contrast to the United States, which, being on another continent, as they say, overseas, thanks to political plans, methods and maneuvers, was able to impose its leadership in the Ukrainian-Russian confrontation.

As a result, as Ukrainians joke now, the army that was the second army in the world, today even in a local war on the territory of Ukraine has become second, second after the Ukrainian army.

Today, due to the dominance of the military, Russia has turned into an easily provoked scarecrow, essentially an American dog on a leash at the gates of the European Union, which frightens European countries, including the superpowers, and throws them into the arms of the United States.

The Islamic Ummah, which is on the eve of regaining its political structure - a second righteous Caliphate according to the method of prophecy, must thoroughly understand the threat of the presence of the military in its rule in order to avoid the fate of today's Russia in the international arena.
