The Slander of the Muslim World League

The Muslim World League expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the "terrorist" attack in Sydney, Australia, affirming in an official statement issued by its General Secretariat its firm and unwavering stance against all forms of violence, terrorism, and extremism, regardless of the motives or justifications (Source).

Comment:

The aforementioned statement attempted to mislead the reader by employing a tone of wisdom and composure in its assessment of the incident, while ignoring the well-known Shariah facts of Islamic jurisprudence and denying the clear political realities surrounding the event. Both of these factors are essential for establishing the basis of Islamic Shariah rulings and form the foundation upon which a Muslim’s stance is built. When the statement emphasized that “these are criminal acts targeting innocent people and terrorizing the peaceful, and therefore contradict all religious values, human norms, and international laws,” it overlooked the fact that the victims were Jews, belonging to a Jewish entity and adhering to its ideology. Most of them are citizens of that state, holding its nationality and supporting it with money, weapons, and soldiers. They are among those who kill Muslims day and night in the Blessed Land of Palestine, and in Gaza in cold blood. Their hands have extended to many Muslim countries, bringing killing, bombing, and destruction, in Syria, Lebanon, Iran, and Yemen. This is in addition to the assassinations their Jewish entity has perpetrated in various parts of the world, the latest being the assassination of an Egyptian engineer in Alexandria. Does the fact that these criminals go to celebrate far from the bombing sites of their entity, to relax on the beaches of Sydney and perform their idolatrous rituals, make them “innocent” and “safe,” as the statement claims?

Allah (swt) says, ﴿وَإِنْ عَاقَبْتُمْ فَعَاقِبُوا بِمِثْلِ مَا عُوقِبْتُمْ بِهِ﴾ “And if you punish, then punish with an equivalent punishment to that with which you were punished.” [TMQ Surah An-Nahl:126]. He (swt) also says, ﴿وَجَزَاءُ سَيِّئَةٍ سَيِّئَةٌ مِثْلُهَا﴾ “And the recompense for an evil is an evil like it.” [TMQ Surah Ash-Shura: 40]. He (swt) also says, ﴿وَلَكُمْ فِي الْقِصَاصِ حَيَاةٌ يَا أُولِي الْأَلْبَابِ﴾“And there is life for you in Qisas retribution, O you of understanding.” [TMQ Surah Al-Baqarah:179]. And He (swt) says, ﴿الشَّهْرُ الْحَرَامُ بِالشَّهْرِ الْحَرَامِ وَالْحُرُمَاتُ قِصَاصٌ، فَمَنِ اعْتَدَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فَاعْتَدُوا عَلَيْهِ بِمِثْلِ مَا اعْتَدَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ﴾ “The sacred month for the sacred month, and for all violations is legal retribution. So, whoever transgresses against you, then transgress against him in the same way he transgressed.” [TMQ Surah Al-Baqarah:194]. All these Shariah texts and others confirm that the fundamental principle for a Muslim is that he must not sleep under oppression, and that he has the full right to avenge his blood, his property, and his honor. He also has the right to treat his enemies in kind, that is, as they treat Muslims. If they kill our women, we will kill their women, and if they kill our children, we will kill their children. Their women and children are not protected, if they kill our women and children. This is a Shariah qaaidah (principle) known to every student of Islamic Shariah Law, and it is self-evident to every alim among the sheikhs of the Muslim World League and others. Furthermore, it is an international and global custom, since the Muslim World League has cited international custom.

The ulema of the rulers who distort the people’s Deen are no different from the agent rulers of the Muslims who ensure the security and safety of Western societies, including the security and safety of the Jews. These ulema have rushed to issue fatwas that contradict Islamic Shariah Law, adopting a shameful stance that grants the disbelievers power over Muslims, making their blood more precious than Muslim blood. They have sanctified the security and safety of the disbelievers, who have deprived our children and women of it, thus becoming like Haman to Fir’awn. Not content with abandoning the oppressed Muslims in the Blessed Land of Palestine, as their masters, the rulers, and their cowardly military commanders have done, they have gone further, fabricating lies against the Deen of Allah (swt) by issuing fatwas to preserve the security and safety of the Crusader states and their soldiers. They ignore the fact that these states, which form the Crusader alliance, are the ones who kill, burn, destroy, and plunder Muslims in various countries around the world. Are all these crimes permissible in Muslim lands but forbidden in their own? If security and safety are among the Shariah maqasid (objectives) of Islamic Shariah Law—and they are—then let it be for everyone. However, if killing and destruction form the creed of the Crusader alliance, then let them taste some of what they themselves have done, so that perhaps they will be deterred.
