America Strikes Nigeria while the Government Provides Political Cover for the Aggressor

After several weeks of false accusations by Trump of ‘Christian genocide’ happening in Nigeria, America, through AFRICOM, launched an unjustified attack on the country. It attacked Jabo, in Tambuwal local government area of Sokoto State and Offa in Kwara State on 25 December 2025.

Comment:

The strike destroyed property in the target areas, none of which are related to any cases of the alleged insecurity the US maliciously claims. The US was swift to celebrate this aggression. Trump’s triumphalist post stating, “May God Bless our Military, and MERRY CHRISTMAS to all, including the dead Terrorists, of which there will be many more if their slaughter of Christians continues,” was false and misleading.

Even more striking, was the response by the Nigerian government to this aggression. It went to great lengths to justify the attack on its territory as a joint operation, based on security cooperation authorized by the Nigerian government. The Nigerian Foreign Minister announced he communicated with the US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, to coordinate the attack on Nigeria. He was eager to point out the US strikes were “consistent with international law, mutual respect for sovereignty and shared commitments to regional and global security.” This is a profound collapse of reason.

America is propelled by secular Capitalism, therefore her motivations are not religious, altruistic, nor driven by any empathy for others. Those who naively believe America is concerned about Christians in Nigeria need only look at Bethlehem in Palestine where the zionists have tyrannized the Christians for decades with the full support and backing of the United States. America has always been aggressive and arrogant in the manner she regards other countries. In 2004 she invaded and destroyed Iraq based on the fabricated narrative of ‘Weapons of Mass Destruction’ (WMD). Currently, she actively threatens to overthrow the government of Venezuela undercover of a misinformation campaign to capture the oil reserves. Therefore, the swift manner in which the Nigerian government endorsed this dangerous intervention by the US is disturbing. The government is eagerly willing to provide political cover for US aggression against its own people unconditionally, for surreptitious US intentions. They boast about sovereignty while they chain us to US dependency.

As Muslims, we are acutely aware of America’s globally concealed malicious intent. From her unbridled support for the zionists in Palestine with false pretense as a just arbitrator, the destruction of Iraq under a monumental falsehood, to the brutal occupation of Afghanistan for decades masquerading as a liberation. The Khilafah State on the method of Prophethood, which will implement Islam comprehensively, is the only state that can guarantee the security of both Muslims and Christians, safeguarding them from foreign interference that seeks to cause conflict between them.

Allah (swt) says:

[يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَتَّخِذُوا عَدُوِّي وَعَدُوَّكُمْ أَوْلِيَاءَ تُلْقُونَ إِلَيْهِم بِالْمَوَدَّةِ وَقَدْ كَفَرُوا بِمَا جَاءَكُم مِّنَ الْحَقِّ]

“O believers! Do not take My enemies and yours as trusted allies, showing them affection even though they deny what has come to you of the truth” [TMQ Al-Mumtahanah:1].
