The Armed Forces of Pakistan Need a Leadership Which Has a Vision to Impose the Islamic Order on the World, Not a Leadership Which Takes Pride in Serving the US

On 15 June 2026, Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif said that following intensive talks, a Peace Deal has been reached between United States and Iran. In a post on social media platform X, he said we are pleased to announce a Peace Deal as both sides have declared the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon. He said the official signing ceremony will be held on Friday, 19 June, 2026 in Switzerland. [Pakistan Radio]

Comment:

The military and political leadership of Pakistan is taking full credit for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Iran and the US, which provides the frame work for detailed negotiations to take place on various issues, including the nuclear issue. The rulers of Pakistan claim that it reduces the chances of repeated escalations between the US and Iran, which earlier resulted in the major disruption in supplies of oil, gas, urea and other major commodities from the region. They claim that such escalations could have widened from a war on a single Muslim state, to a wider conflict. So, the rulers claim that if a war has been averted by securing some of the US interests, then it is a small price to achieve peace.

However, the root cause of insecurity and economic misery in our region is the presence of the American security infrastructure, its military bases, its troops, its spy posts disguised as diplomatic missions and its agent rulers of Muslim countries. Whenever the US wants to destabilize the region, it simply fabricates an excuse to attack and occupy a country, using that regional infrastructure.

The US attacked Afghanistan in 2001 on the basis of a fabricated lie that the attackers on the Twin Towers in New York, America were sitting in Afghanistan, and that Afghanistan has become a hub of global “terrorism”. Then for the next twenty years our region remained in constant turmoil, which curtailed our progress. America then attacked Iraq in 2003 on the basis of a totally fabricated lie that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction although Iraq was under punishing sanctions for more than a decade and was in no position to develop or acquire weapons of mass destruction. For the next ten years Iraq remained in continuous turmoil, which curtailed its progress. Even today both these regions are still in turmoil created by the US. So, an aware leadership in Pakistan would have supported the Muslims of Iran, so that the US regional infrastructure is permanently dismantled, instead of mediating to save Trump from a humiliating defeat. Providing a snake an opportunity to live in our abode gives it an opportunity to attack us again.

An aware leadership of Pakistan would realize that the current conflict between US and Iran has provided an opportunity for us to expel the US from the region and uproot the Western agents from the Gulf states, unifying them with Pakistan under the system of Khilafah (Caliphate). This would have created a capacity to not only dominate the region, but also challenge the global US hegemony very effectively. However, the vision of the current leadership is the vision of the US about them, which is that they are slaves. A slave has no vision beyond obeying the orders of his masters.

Today it has been established after the Russia-Ukraine war and the US-Iran war, that the current major powers are declining powers, as they cannot defeat a middle military power, who is weaker militarily and economically. We need an aware leadership which has the vision of unifying Muslims lands, implementing Islam within them, and expelling Western colonialist powers from the Muslim World. That leadership is the leadership of Hizb ut Tahrir. Since its inception in 1953, Hizb ut Tahrir has declared to the Ummah and the sincere in its armed forces that we as an Ummah are capable of dismantling Western military, economic and political colonialism.

The current events have confirmed that when a single Muslim state decides to confront the US and use its resources intelligently, it can succeed in halting the aggression of the US. It further confirms that the Khilafah state would easily dismantle the American regional infrastructure, as the Khilafah would span from Indonesia to Morocco, command more than three million troops, possess huge numbers of tanks, aircraft, naval ships, canons, submarines, missiles, drones, nuclear weapons and control all major shipping routes, including the Suez Canal in Egypt, the Bab al-Mandab strait in between Yemen and Djibouti, the Strait of Hormuz between Iran and Oman and the Strait of Malacca between Malaysia and Indonesia. The first step to all of this is the granting of military support (nussrah) by the armed forces of Pakistan to Hizb ut Tahrir for the establishment of the Khilafah on the Method of the Prophethood. Indeed, it is the Sunnah of Allah (swt) with nations that powers and empires rise and fall. Allah (swt) says,

[وَتِلْكَ الْأَيَّامُ نُدَاوِلُهَا بَيْنَ النَّاسِ] “And such are the days which We alternate among people” [TMQ Surah Aali Imran 3:114].
