The Iranian Regime is a Hateful Sectarian Regime.
It is a Poisonous Dagger in the Body of the Ummah

Instead of offering an apology for the heinous crimes committed by his hateful sectarian regime against the people of Syria over the past thirteen years, seeking forgiveness from the families of the victims whose pure blood was shed by the hands of his soldiers, and pleading for pardon for the injustices, arrests, torture, oppression, brutality, and assaults carried out by his forces, Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei chose a different path, with audacity. On Sunday, December 22, 2024, during a religious celebration in Tehran, he stated, “The Syrian youth have nothing left to lose because their lives are entirely insecure in Syria. Therefore, they must stand strongly and resolutely against those who planned this chaos and those who executed it.” He added, “America’s program for controlling nations depends on one of two strategies: either creating tyranny or spreading chaos and disorder. In Syria, they created chaos, and now they think they have achieved victory.”
The crimes committed by Khamenei’s regime against the people of Syria are so vast that mountains would buckle under their weight, and the heavens nearly split apart in horror. These injustices include shedding blood, violating dignity, turning people’s lives into a living hell, displacing women, children, and the vulnerable, leaving them wandering aimlessly across the globe, seeking shelter from governments and individuals yet finding neither homes to protect them, nor land to sustain them. The list of atrocities and injustices is endless. The Prophet Muhammad (saw) warned of such grave sins in a hadith narrated by Ibn Umar (ra),
“I saw the Messenger of Allah (saw) circumambulating the Kaaba and saying: ‘How pure you are and how pleasant your fragrance! How great you are and how great your sanctity! By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the sanctity of a believer is greater with Allah than your sanctity—his wealth, his blood, and that we think nothing of him but good.’” This powerful statement underscores the enormity of violating a believer’s sanctity, wealth, or blood, which is deemed greater in sanctity than the Kaaba itself. Such grave actions reveal the depths of injustice and oppression inflicted upon the innocent.
If the sins of the Iranian regime were limited to spreading hateful sectarianism, this alone would be a crime for which they would bear the burden, and for which all who follow in their footsteps would bear the consequences, until the Day of Judgment. From the very first day of Khomeini’s revolution, brought to power by America, the Iranian regime has revolved in America’s orbit, serving its interests and aiding its control over Muslim lands. It has deeply entrenched itself in dividing the Islamic Ummah and disrupting its unity, under the guise of religion and the illusion of resistance. Whenever America needed support to solidify its colonialization and influence, the Iranian regime rushed to assist, as seen in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Lebanon, and elsewhere.
This truth has been openly admitted by their own officials. Mohammad Ali Abtahi, former Iranian Vice President for Legal and Parliamentary Affairs, stated at the conclusion of a conference in Abu Dhabi, “Our country has provided much assistance to the Americans in their wars against Afghanistan and Iraq.” In a lecture delivered at the end of the “Gulf and Challenges of the Future” conference organized by the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research, Abtahi pointed out, “If it weren’t for Iranian cooperation, Kabul and Baghdad wouldn’t have fallen so easily. But after Afghanistan, we received a reward and were labeled part of the Axis of Evil, and after Iraq, we are subjected to a fierce American media attack.” Yet, still now, Khamenei pretends to speak as though he is an enemy of America and its projects!
Even the so-called “resistance roles” the Iranian regime boasts about, along with slogans of liberating Palestine and the Al-Quds Force, are nothing but deception and lies. We have witnessed how the Iranian regime abandoned its Lebanese party to face Jewish aggression alone, leading to the killing of most of its leaders and the signing of a humiliating withdrawal agreement. We have seen how it left Gaza to be slaughtered from artery to vein, forsaking the resistance factions and leaving them as prey for the Jews. This betrayal extended to the point where even the political leader of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, was targeted while present in the Iranian regime’s own capital. Such duplicity reveals the hollowness of their claims of resistance, and exposes their true alliances.
After America no longer needed Iran’s services in Syria, deciding to rearrange its plans and satisfy the Zionist entity’s desire to remove Iran from the region, and diminish its power of Iran’s Hezb in Lebanon, it forced Iran out of Syria in a humiliating manner. People cursed it, and its remnants were pursued relentlessly. In response, Mohsen Rezaee, a member of the Expediency Discernment Council in Iran, shamelessly stated, “The resilient Syrian youth and people will not remain silent in the face of occupation, foreign aggression, and domestic usurpation. Within less than a year, resistance will be restructured in a new form to confront the deceitful Zionist-American project in the region and those who have been misled by it.” His threats against the people of Syria, and his recycled rhetoric, are nothing but a desperate attempt to save his regime’s face in front of its people after they witnessed it dragging the tail of defeat in Syria. The Iranian regime’s blackened face is clear for the world to see after its crimes and atrocities, which even wild beasts would shun, came to light.
All of this and more confirms that Iran’s supposed enmity toward the Jews is not out of allegiance to the Islamic Ummah, or its Aqeedah. Instead, it is a competition for influence and control over territories. If Iran truly wanted to liberate Palestine, it could do so in a single day. Its claim of adopting resistance and defiance is merely a façade to gain loyalty and deceive the Islamic Ummah. In reality, it is far removed from the true concepts of jihad, liberation, and support. Its resources and capabilities have been placed on a golden platter to serve America’s projects in the region, while the Islamic Ummah and its lands are deprived of these resources.
The Iranian regime is a sectarian system nurtured by America to serve as a dagger in the body of the Islamic Ummah, preventing its unity and obstructing its liberation from the shackles of colonialism. The Ummah will find no salvation except by overthrowing this regime, along with the rest of the ruling regimes in the Muslim lands. This will pave the way for the establishment of a pure Islamic ruling system under the Second Khilafah Rashidah (rightly-guided Khilafah) on the method of Prophethood. Allah (swt) said,
[لِيُحِقَّ الْحَقَّ وَيُبْطِلَ الْبَاطِلَ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُجْرِمُونَ]
“That He should establish the truth and abolish falsehood, even if the criminals dislike it.” [TMQ Surah Al-Anfal: 8].
