Hizb ut Tahrir Is an Ideological Party that Follows the Straight Path, Neither Lacking Thoughts, Nor Burdened by Good Deeds

Under the title “Daily Occupation to Control Followers,” writer Abdullah Al-Jadiah published an article in the Saudi newspaper Al-Watan, Al-Arabiya website, and others, in which he spoke about the conspiracy of parties to occupy their followers with fabricated and exaggerated details, thoughts, and events in order to ensure that they remain under control and preoccupied, far from thinking and reflecting on the goal and the method. He cited Hizb ut Tahrir as an example, and exploited this as an entry point to level accusations, criticize, and attack the Hizb without providing any evidence or proof for his fabrications and claims. Instead, his aim was to criticize the Hizb even if it contradicted sound logic. For example, he described the Hizb as “old” instead of saying “deep-rooted,” which is a term that applies to groups that continue and persist in their work for decades, or even centuries, thus acquiring great experience and deep-rootedness that makes them a force to be reckoned with.
This is something that groups are praised for and for which they are not criticized. However, the writer used the term “old” instead of “deep-rooted,” as if Hizb ut Tahrir were just one man or a few men who grew old and aged, and were no longer able to do anything! Yet tangible evidence refutes and disproves this claim, even the slander, and even the enemies of the Islamic Ummah and their reputable research centers have confirmed the spread and expansion of Hizb ut Tahrir in more than 40 countries around the world, and its emergence in some regions as a strong leading party.
Returning to the notion of preoccupation or distraction, this is a matter on which we agree with the writer regarding its danger should it exist within Hizb ut Tahrir or any other group; indeed, Hizb ut Tahrir has previously warned in its literature against being distracted by opposing superficial or partial matters under existing regimes in Muslim lands, or by subsidiary activities that in reality serve those regimes and divert attention from the radical change the Islamic Ummah requires. This is precisely what Hizb ut Tahrir has adhered to throughout its long struggle, keeping its objective firmly in sight in every style, means, or activity, refusing to allow itself to be diverted toward what the rulers of the states of harm, and the disbelieving colonialist West desire, namely engaging in trivialities and even in details that the treacherous regimes often fabricate to distract the peoples. This very steadfastness became grounds for the shortsighted to criticize the Hizb for refusing to abandon its thought and method and for confining its activity to what directly advances that objective, to the point that some accused it of rigidity!
The issue of distraction or diversion exists only among artificial groups or those devoid of ideological thoughts or tied to regimes, which use them as an anesthetic to numb the peoples. As for Hizb ut Tahrir, it is an ideological party that draws its thought and method from the illuminating Shariah, and selects styles and means consistent with the elevation and seriousness of that thought, exactly as the Messenger of Allah (saw) did in his Dawah, which culminated in the establishment of the first Islamic state in Al-Madinah Al-Munawarrah.
The thoughts that we are working to spread and turn into convictions among the Islamic Ummah are numerous, and we can barely work on them with the necessary actions and activities to spread them in light of the tireless work of the treacherous rulers, their henchmen, their movements, their writers, their political medium, and behind them, colonialism, to turn people away from the path of Allah (swt) and to stand against the call of the Hizb, which they see as a danger to the thrones of the rulers, and the oppressive systems existing in the Muslim lands.
Thus, Hizb ut Tahrir, with all dignity, connects its night to its day and continues its work across the five continents to resume an Islamic way of life through the establishment of the Second Khilafah Rashidah (Rightly Guided Caliphate) on the Method of the Prophethood, accepting nothing less than or short of it, refusing to throw itself into the embrace of regimes or colonialism, to seek their assistance, or to lean upon them. The Hizb remains firmly committed to its thought and its Shariah-based method, full of hope that Allah (swt) will grant it victory as He granted victory to His (swt) servant and truthful, trustworthy Messenger (saw).
As for Hizb ut Tahrir’s achievements that the writer either failed to see or deliberately ignored, he can behold them in the eyes of the regimes whose limbs tremble at the Hizb’s thought and good deeds, to the extent that mere affiliation with it, or support for it, has become a crime warranting years, or even decades of imprisonment for its members in some states; or hear them from the mouths of colonialist leaders as they warn of the Khilafah (Caliphate) project that they see the Hizb on the verge of realizing, not least among them, as the Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, said a little while ago on 21/12/2025, “But there is a threat to our freedom that is not often talked about enough, and it is the greatest near and long term threat to both our freedom and our security, and that is the threat of Islamist ideology... But this Islamist ideology is a direct threat to our freedom because at its core it is a political ideology that seeks to create a global caliphate that governs us here in America, threatening Western civilization, governance by Sharia law, governance by what they are calling their Islamic principles,” or they can wait until one day awaken to find the second Rightly Guided Caliphate on the methodology of the Prophethood established, its news shaking the earth beneath the thrones of the disbelieving colonialist West and the thrones of its lackeys and aides. The Messenger of Allah (saw) said,
«إنَّ اللهَ زوَى لي الأرضَ فرأَيْتُ مَشارِقَها ومَغارِبَها فإنَّ أُمَّتي سيبلُغُ مُلْكُها ما زوَى لي منها»
“Allah folded the earth before me so that I saw its east and its west, and the authority of my ummah will reach what was folded before me of it” [Sahih Muslim]. And he (saw) said,
«ليبلغَنَّ هذا الأمرُ ما بلغ الليلُ والنهارُ ولا يتركُ اللهُ بيتَ مدرٍ ولا وبرٍ إلا أدخله اللهُ هذا الدينَ بعزِّ عزيزٍ أو بذلِّ ذليلٍ عزًّا يعزُّ اللهُ به الإسلامَ وأهلَه وذلًّا يذلُّ اللهُ به الكفر»
“This matter will certainly reach wherever night and day reach, and Allah (swt) will not leave a house of mud or fur except that Allah (swt) will bring this Deen into it, through the might of a mighty one or the humiliation of a humiliated one, might by which Allah (swt) strengthens Islam and its people, and humiliation by which Allah (swt) humiliates disbelief.” [Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim]
Allah (swt) said,
[وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنكُمْ وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَيَسْتَخْلِفَنَّهُم فِي الْأَرْضِ كَمَا اسْتَخْلَفَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَلَيُمَكِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ دِينَهُمُ الَّذِي ارْتَضَى لَهُمْ وَلَيُبَدِّلَنَّهُم مِّن بَعْدِ خَوْفِهِمْ أَمْناً يَعْبُدُونَنِي لَا يُشْرِكُونَ بِي شَيْئاً وَمَن كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ]
“Allah (swt) has promised those who have believed among you and done righteous deeds that He (swt) will surely grant them succession [to authority] upon the earth just as He (swt) granted it to those before them and that He (swt) will surely establish for them therein their Deen which He (swt) has chosen for them and that He (swt) will surely substitute for them, after their fear, security, for they worship Me, not associating anything with Me. But whoever disbelieves after that, then those are the defiantly disobedient” [TMQ Surah An-Nur: 55].
