Indeed, Allah (swt) has imposed laws for the changing of societies, laws which cannot be contradicted, and amongst these laws is His (swt) saying (إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّى يُغَيِّرُوا مَا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ) “Indeed Allah does not change that which is in the people until they change with is within themselves.” [Surah Ar-Ra'ad 12:11].
It is well known within the Ummah that when the following verse was revealed:(وَقُل لِّلْمُؤْمِنَاتِ يَغْضُضْنَ مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِنَّ وَيَحْفَظْنَ فُرُوجَهُنَّ وَلَا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلَّا مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا ۖ وَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ)"And they are not to show their charm except that which is apparent. And let them cover their chests and necks (Juyoob) with their head covers (khimaars)". [An-Nur 24: 31],
