Europe: University Symposium entitled "The Message of Islam" in the Belgian capital of Brussels

Alhamdulillah, on Sunday the twelfth of Rajab 1435 AH corresponding to 11 May 2014, a University symposium organized by the members of Hizb ut Tahrir/ Belgium in the capital of Brussels entitled "The Message of Islam". The lecturers presented three papers in French conveying the key issues in the heart of the Islamic faith and the foundations for which Islam came.

The gathering commenced by reading verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the opening speech. Then the first paper was delivered to the audience by Brother Abu Mohammed from the city of Liege, Belgium titled, "The Existence of God".  Followed by the second speech given by Engineer Brother Abu Yassin from the city of Milos, France entitled "The Miracle of the Quran".  After listening to the two speeches, time was allotted for an hour of prayer, rest and socializing between the brothers.

The audience then sat to watch a short film in French, prepared by the brothers in Belgium conveying the history of mankind and the dark period experienced by humanity as a result of the enslavement of the ancient civilizations and modern humans compared to the transfer of the quality of life in dignity and stability attained for people when Islam came and combined different people and different nations in one nation. They were moved from worshipping people to the worship of the Creator the subjects people to worship the Lord of mankind, and from the narrow confines of the world to the spaciousness of this world and Hereafter.

Afterwards the audience listened to the third speech titled "The Message of Islam," by Brother Abu Iyyas from the city of Brussels. The symposium ended with duaa and urged the audience to carry the call of Islam to the people and remain patient.

(وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ قَوْلا مِّمَّن دَعَا إِلَى اللَّهِ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا وَقَالَ إِنَّنِي مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ)

"And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does righteousness and says, "Indeed, I am of the Muslims." [Fusalat: 33]
