This Ramadan, Let us Strive for Ruling by All that Allah (swt) Has Revealed!

Allah (swt) said, [شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِي أُنْزِلَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنُ هُدًى لِلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَاتٍ مِنَ الْهُدَى وَالْفُرْقَانِ] “The month of Ramadan is the one in which the Qur’ān was revealed as Guidance for mankind, and as clear signs that show the right way and the Furqan.” [Surah Al-Baqarah 2:185]. And Allah said,[إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ لِتَحْكُمَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ بِمَا أَرَاكَ الله] “Surely, We have revealed to you the Book with the truth, so that you may judge between people according to what Allah has shown you’ [Surah An-Nisa 4:105]. In the era of ruling by all that Allah (swt) has revealed, Ramadhn was glorified by great worship of Allah (swt), for over a thousand years. Thus, the Muslims did not restrict themselves to fasting, tarawih and invitations to iftaar alone. They fulfilled the obligation to rule by Islam comprehensively, including in economics, military affairs and education.
