Alaa Abu Saleh, member of the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir in Palestine, announced that the Palestinian Authority security agencies proceeded Sunday morning, 04/13/2014 CE to disperse a legal and peaceful stand before the Court of Ramallah with the use of force and arrested the majority of the participants.

In detail, Abu Saleh said that dozens from the families of the Hizb ut Tahrir detainees gathered in front of the Court of Ramallah this morning to protest against the trial of their sons, who were arrested from inside the Grand Beirah Mosque after barging in 04/05/2014 who are being tried on the falsified charges of illegal gathering! In addition, they demanded the recovery of the identification cards of the Hizb supporters from the Jerusalem residents retained illegally by the Security Services. The protesters were peaceful, waving banners and the number within permitted by law authority alleged as the number was below fifty, which does not require any notice or permit to any party. Nevertheless proceeded so-called Riot Troops proceeded to disperse the peaceful stand by force and arrested most of the participants.

Abu Saleh considered the actions of the repressive Palestinian Authority which occurred under the eyes and nose of the judiciary, reveals the extent of its ruin and the ‘cowboy' mentality seeking to suppress the people of Palestine; and silence their voices against the exposure of the criminal acts committed and their shameful conceding policies. It also reveals their extent of contempt and disregard for the Judiciary and considers it simply a tool that provides cover for its suppression and its thug-like politics.
