A March Against U.S. Military Maneuvers on Tunisian Soil!

On Friday, April 17, 2026, following Friday prayers, a march organized by Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Tunisia set out from in front of Al-Fath Mosque in the capital, Tunis, under the banner:

"U.S. Military Maneuvers on Tunisian Soil Are a Crime"

As the march—attended by a large crowd of the people of Tunis—commenced, a member of Hizb ut-Tahrir / Wilayah of Tunisia addressed the worshippers in a brief message, explaining that this demonstration was organized to condemn and reject U.S. military maneuvers on Tunisian soil. Banners were raised; the main banner bore the march's title, while a second read: "U.S. Military Maneuvers in Tunisia... How Long Must This Humiliation Endure?!" Smaller placards rejecting NATO were also displayed, alongside others inscribed with: "No to the American Army in Muslim Lands." Throughout the march—which wound through the capital's main thoroughfares—the participants chanted slogans denouncing these maneuvers, including: "Tunisia, Tunisia—Free, Free! NATO, Get Out!"; "Tunisia, Tunisia—Free, Free! America, Get Out!"; "Tunisia, Tunisia—Free, Free! AFRICOM, Get Out!"; "No American Warships on Tunisian Soil!"; "No Crusader Armies on Tunisian Soil!"; "O Officers and General Staff: America Is the Head of Terrorism!"; "O Officers and General Staff: America Is the Head of Aggression!"; and "La Illaha Illa Allah... America is the Enemy of Allah!"

The march concluded on Thawra Street, in front of the Municipal Theater, with a rally during which a member of Hizb ut-Tahrir / Wilayah Tunisia delivered a speech. In it, he asserted: "These American military maneuvers taking place on Tunisian soil are no longer a fleeting event or limited technical cooperation. Rather—through repetition and expansion—they have evolved into a *de facto* normalization of the American military presence, a process that will reach its zenith with Tunisia’s hosting of the massive Exercise African Lion in 2025! History demonstrates that whenever American armies enter a country, they corrupt it and humiliate its people—and this is precisely what they are doing here. Their crimes in Iraq and Afghanistan bear witness to this fact, and their boundless support for the Jewish entity in its genocide of the people of Gaza is a matter of public record, known to all.

How, then—after all this—can we permit a ruthless enemy, one that shows us neither mercy nor respect for any covenant, to tread upon our land: the 'Green Land,' the land of the Mujahideen? For Allah (swt) declares: 'And never will Allah grant the disbelievers a way [of dominance] over the believers.'

The duty of the people of this land today—and, above all, the duty of those who possess power and strength—is to sever the hands of the West from our countries. Foremost among these hands is the 'head of the serpent': America, the true enemy of Islam and Muslims. This objective cannot be achieved except by rejecting these military maneuvers and abrogating the military agreements signed by Beji Caid Essebsi; for these agreements constitute a grave evil that will have dangerous repercussions for the region and its independence.

Furthermore, you must strive to establish a state possessed of power, might, and prestige—a state founded upon a civilizational project stemming from the Ummah’s creed. Such a state would vest authority in the Ummah and sovereignty in the Divine Law (Shari'ah); it would eradicate the colonialist presence through formidable armies capable of defending the sanctity of the Muslim lands and dispelling the enemies of the Faith—and the whispers of Satan—from their minds. In doing so, it would safeguard the dignity of the country and secure the safety and independence of the Ummah."

This is the work of Hizb ut Tahrir in the "Land of the Olive" (*Bilad al-Zaytuna*); this is its duty toward... Together with his Ummah—and those possessed of strength—he exposes the plots and machinations of the colonialist disbeliever, who toils day and night to tighten his stranglehold over the lands of the Muslims and to thwart any attempt at emancipation or liberation from his prisons—the "Sykes-Picot cages"—so that we might remain a subservient, submissive, and humiliated nation. He continues his work alongside the sincere believers until these shackles are shattered, the hands of America—and those among the Muslim lands who ally themselves with her—are severed, and the Second Khilafah Rashidah (Rightly Guided Caliphate) is established upon the methodology of the Prophethood—that very Caliphate foretold by our leader, Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him
