The US Deputy Secretary of State John Sullivan, visited Sudan and met with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Finance, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces, representatives of the Ministry of the Interior and the National Security and Intelligence Service, as well as the Chargé d'affaires at the Sudan Embassy in America. He also met a number of Religious leaders in a closed session, and then gave a lecture at the Martyr Hall of the University of the Holy Quran and Islamic Sciences,
