News and Comment The Success Stories of Women Empowerment under Capitalism is a Facade

News:

On 25th April 2015, it was reported that the US presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton cited the example of Indian women entrepreneurs joining forces to secure micro-finance loans as she made a clarion call to achieving equal pay, ending sexual violence and providing equal opportunities to women across the world. She told a gathering at the sixth annual "Women in the World" Summit at New York that men and women equally have to be the "agents of change" and contribute to the progress required to ensure an equal world for all. Exuding hope that the world is closer than ever before to achieving such change, Clinton cited the example of how women in India, Bangladesh and Liberia are joining forces to improve their lives and secure their rights. "We have seen women all over the world become agents of change, drivers of progress, makers of peace. I have seen penniless women in India and Bangladesh banding together to secure micro-finance loans and start their own small businesses," Clinton said to a packed audience of celebrities, entrepreneurs, activists and students. "So many women are still paid less than men for the same work, with even wider gaps for women of colour," she said.

Comment:

The pretext of women empowerment has been used by the US and other western nations to colonize and loot the resources of the third world countries and Muslim lands since last century. These rosy promises like equal pay, ending sexual violence and providing equal opportunities have been made millions of times to the women of the world by these Capitalist politicians, only to result in more violence, sexual harassment and less respect for women. The US likes to make fools out of its own people as well as the people across the world by telling them that they are creating success stories by providing more jobs to women in the third world and developing countries, while in fact she and European countries are pushing the women in countries like India, Bangladesh and Pakistan to do jobs in humiliating conditions, with extremely long working hours and low wages, which barely feed them. These Capitalist nations, with their colonial mindset, want to achieve maximum profit out of the cheap labour force available in these poverty-ridden countries in fields like garment, textile, agricultural and other small industries. The living conditions for the majority of the population, in these countries is so poor, due to the interest based loans granted to them by the IMF and WB, with strenuous conditions, heavy taxes, high prices of utility goods and services; that the women are forced to leave the sanctity of their homes to do jobs in order to feed themselves and their families.

Moreover, Clinton describes the microfinance system as helpful to women, however the success stories are few while the majority of women who took loans in countries like India and Bangladesh are forced to pay huge amounts of interest for the rest of their lives. They have not been able to improve the standard of their living as promised by these micro financing institutions. For example the village in Bangladesh, Jobra, where Yunus of Grameen Bank pioneered his microcredit model is today just as poor as it was in 1970s while an increasing number of men in Jobra are now forced to undertake sporadic day-laboring jobs in nearby Dhaka and Chittagong to repay the installments on microloans that, in almost all cases have not lead to successful income-generating activities. The sexual harassment and objectification of women as a source of gratification for the males has increased rather multiplied under the Capitalist freedoms oriented system. The women in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and other countries are raped, tortured and humiliated under the sparkling promises of empowerment and equal opportunities. She has been fooled for more than a century now by the western liberal secular Capitalist system.

The western system of Capitalism has failed and no matter how hard they try to save it under the guise of women empowerment, it's a sham and has become a laughing stock for the realists.  Its time now to present the alternate model of system, a tested and reliable system, that worked brilliantly for more than 1300 years, only because it was not made by the limited mind of human beings, rather given by Allah (swt), the Creator of the universe, man and his small and limited mind. The system of Khilafah "Caliphate" that raised the status of women from mere objects and property to the highest ranks of mother, wife, sister and daughter, and where she was provided for, taken care of, protected and viewed as intellectual human beings. A system that ensured her basic rights like food, shelter, health and education in all circumstances and where she was fully able to pursue a profession of her choice without fear of being harassed or objectified. It is only this system of Khilafah "Caliphate" that can ensure the rights of women and her true liberation from the oppression of man-made systems in the future. This is the only system that can eradicate poverty as it did in the past. Allah (swt) says:

"If they had observed the Torah and the Gospel and that which was revealed unto them from their Lord, they would surely have been nourished from above them and from beneath their feet. Among them there are people who are moderate, but many of them are of evil conduct." [TMQ: Al Mai'dah: 66]

Russian president Putin calls 1915 Armenian killings ‘genocide'

According to the report, in a statement released on the Kremlin's website on the occasion of event in Moscow called "A World without Genocide," the Russian leader called the 1915 events a "mournful date, related to one of the most horrendous and dramatic events in human history, the genocide of the Armenian people."

Putin said Russia sees the mass killings of Armenians as its own pain and sorrow and said Russians bow their heads before the memory of all victims of the tragedy after 100 years.

He underlined that mass elimination of people because of their ethnic group has no justification and vowed that his country will not change its objective and consistent stance towards the 1915 events.

"The international community has a duty to do everything possible to ensure that such atrocities never happen anywhere again. Future generations of Armenians and other peoples in that region must live in a world of harmony and never have to know the horrors that come from the incitement of religious enmity, aggressive nationalism and xenophobia," Putin stated.

President Putin is scheduled to travel to the Armenian capital of Yerevan to attend ceremonies marking the centennial of what Armenians claim is a genocide of Ottoman Armenians in eastern Anatolia during World War I. However, Putin's spokesperson Dimitri Peskov said Putin's visit to the Armenian capital of Yerevan to attend the April 24 ceremonies marking the centennial of the killings and forced deportations will not damage ties between Turkey and Russia.

The Armenian government and diaspora have been working for a greater recognition of the 1915 events as "genocide" due to the centennial of the events this year. The pope described the mass killings of Armenians under Ottoman rule at the end of World War I as "the first genocide of the 20th century," with his statement prompting Turkey to summon the Vatican's envoy and recall its own. The European Parliament also called on Turkey to recognize the killings of Armenians during the final years of the Ottoman Empire as "genocide." And in another recent blow, political parties in the Austrian parliament signed a declaration recognizing the massacre of the Armenians as "genocide."

Germany's parliament is set to adopt a motion using the word genocide on Friday. However, US President Barack Obama is not expected to use the word "genocide" in his traditional April 24 statement to commemorate the centenary of the mass killing of Armenians in 1915.

Turkey accepts that many Armenians died during the World War I years, but says the death toll offered by the Armenians, up to 1.5 million people, is inflated, and denies that the deaths resulted from an act of genocide. Ankara says Turks were also killed when Armenians took up arms in pursuit of an independent state in collaboration with Russian forces that were invading Eastern Anatolia at the time. Armenia, on the other hand, accuses the Ottoman authorities of the time of systematically massacring large numbers of Armenians, then deporting many more, including women, children, the elderly and the infirm, in terrible conditions on so-called death marches. While Turkish politicians continue praising Russia, Soviet successors never compromise.

Netanyahu's Independence Day Message Praises Troops' ‘Fighting Spirit' in Gaza

In his Independence Day address, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised the fighting spirit of troops in Gaza.
Netanyahu's praises came in the Hebrew-language version of a video released by his office at the start of Israel's 67th Independence Day, which this year fell on Thursday. The English-language version contains no such reference but celebrates the right of Jews living outside Israel to immigrate there, or make aliyah.

"Last summer, during Operation Protective Edge, we saw your fighting spirit, your camaraderie, your bravery," Netanyahu said in the introduction part of the Hebrew-language video, which Netanyahu began with a message addressed to members of the security forces. "You are the first element of Israel's security and its independence."

Israel has faced international criticism for its military operation last summer in Gaza against Hamas, which left more than 2,000 Palestinians dead, and has disputed claims by the Palestinians and others that it committed widespread war crimes.
"When we look at the countries around us, we see how exceptional Israel is - a vibrant democracy with equal rights to all its citizens," Netanyahu said. "Israel is at the forefront of the world's technology."

Unlike the Hebrew address, Netanyahu's English-language video also celebrates how Israel gives Jews "the right to make aliyah and be part of the modern State of Israel."

It further differs from the Hebrew-language version in that it says specifically that Arab-Israelis are "equal under the law."
Last month, Netanyahu urged voters to elect his party, Likud, because Arabs, he said, were showing up in great numbers to vote with help from left-wing groups. The statement spurred many Israeli politicians and opinion-shapers - as well as U.S. officials - to accuse Netanyahu of eroding democratic values, and he later apologized for the offense it caused. Tajikistan Bans Hajj Pilgrimage for Citizens Younger than 35

Tajikistan has banned the hajj, the Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca, for citizens younger than 35 years old.
Many in the Central Asian country believe the ban is an attempt to prevent young Tajiks from developing radical ideas and joining extremist groups such as Islamic State (IS).

It comes a month after President Emomali Rahmon called for a long-term development "concept" based on secularism.
The government's Committee for Religious and Cultural Issues announced the hajj restriction on April 13.
The committee said it is intended to give older Muslims a greater opportunity to undertake the hajj, as Saudi Arabia limits the number of pilgrims from each country annually.

Rahmon's government has repeatedly called for the strengthening of secular principles in the mostly Muslim country of 8.5 million.
Tajikistan has banned head scarves for schoolgirls, barred minors from mosques, and forced thousands of students to return home from Islamic schools abroad in recent months amid reports that many Tajiks have joined militant groups fighting in Iraq and Syria.
Also in recent months, dozens of Tajiks have been sentenced to lengthy prison terms for links with banned Islamic groups, such as Hizb ut Tahrir, the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, and Jamaat Ansarullah.

The trials were held amid increased pressure on the only officially registered Islamic party in Central Asia -- the Islamic Renaissance Party, which was banished from parliament in a March 1 election marred by fraud allegations.
Last month, imams at several mosques across Tajikistan have urged Muslims to support the closure of the party, calling for a referendum to dissolve it.

In December, Rahmon, who has been running the country with an iron fist since 1992, publicly accepted that young Tajiks had been joining Islamic militants in the Middle East and described the IS group as a "modern plague" that posed a "threat to global security."
Rahmon added then that hundreds of Tajiks fighting alongside IS militants "bring instability to society at home as well" as they recruit more young Tajiks for extremist groups in Syria and Iraq.

In February, Tajikistan's newly appointed prosecutor-general, Yusuf Rahmonov, said that a special center tasked with investigating cases of recruitment to banned Islamic groups would begin operating soon.

In March, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov said Moscow planned to bolster Russia's military bases in Tajikistan and neighboring Kyrgyzstan due to increased activity of IS "units" in Central Asia.

A recent report from the International Crisis Group estimated that 2,000 to 4,000 people from Central Asia have gone to Syria during the last three years to join Islamist militants. [Source: Radio Free Europe]

Press Release America's Campaign to Suppress Islam in Pakistan Raheel-Nawaz Regime Seizes Saad Jegranvi, Chairman of Hizb ut Tahrir's Central Contact Committee in Wilayah Pakistan

  • Published in Video
  •   |

Late in the night of 22 April 2015, the thugs of the regime seized the widely known and respected Saad Jagranvi, the Chairman of Hizb ut Tahrir's Central Contact Committee in the Wilayah of Pakistan. It is the latest black deed in a long list of black deeds against Hizb ut Tahrir. The regime has arrested members of Hizb ut Tahrir throughout Pakistan and Naveed Butt, Hizb ut Tahrir's Official Spokesman in Pakistan, will now enter his fourth year of abduction on 11 May 2015.

Hizb ut Tahrir has today, 23 April 2015, launched a campaign exposing America's campaign to suppress Islam in Pakistan, which the regime insists on calling "National Action Plan." In its leaflet issued on 23 April 2015, Hizb ut Tahrir Wilayah Pakistan stated,

"The core concepts of the "National Action Plan" are the direct output of a major American initiative, the Pakistan-US Joint Working Group on Counter-Terrorism and Law Enforcement (JWG-CTLE). This body has a profound effect on Pakistan because the US Department of State, US Department of Justice and the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), all contribute to it. Since the JWG-CTLE was announced in February 2002 by the US State Department, it has guided America's agents regarding suppressing the call for Islam, Jihad and Khilafah "Caliphate", from the "Enlightened Moderation" of the Musharraf-Aziz regime to the current regime's "National Action Plan."

Through the "National Action Plan" and other means, America seeks to end the Muslims' deep attachment to Islam, which was developed over centuries of adherence to Islam, fighting in its cause and ruling by it. It is the power of Islam that was the key to the establishment of Pakistan in the first place, forcing a former leading global state, Britain, to end its military occupation of the Indian Subcontinent, never daring to return again. It is the power of Islam that forced another superpower, Soviet Russia, to end its occupation of Afghanistan, in such a severe state of military and economic exhaustion that it led to its eventual and complete collapse. However, now that America has herself occupied the region, the power of Islam is directed against her, and will be defeated by the permission of Allah the Strong the Aziz as what had happened to the communists from before.

Suppressing Islam in Pakistan is now a matter of survival for the American presence and interests in the region. Using the "National Action Plan" amongst other means, America has mobilized her agents to denounce Jihad as "terrorism" and persecute the sincere mujahideen fighting the American occupation of Afghanistan, using the arrests of miscreants performing sectarian and ethnic violence as a cover to hide her main purpose. America's agents also clamp down on Islamic expression in the media, social media and the political medium, denouncing it as "hate speech", "radicalism" and "Islamism," whilst seizing thousands of sincere Ulema and politicians who call for Jihad against America's occupation of Afghanistan and the return of the Khilafah "Caliphate" to Pakistan."

And Hizb ut Tahrir called directly to the armed forces with the following call:

"O Officers of Pakistan's Armed Forces!

The current rulers are weak before our enemies, never daring to do what must be done, whether in Palestine, Kashmir, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria or even within Pakistan. Yet, they are mighty before the Muslims, widening their chests and striking at all that we hold of Islam, for the sake of their foreign masters. Clearly they are not of us and we are not of them. How, then, can you tolerate their rule any more, when it is upon your strength and support that they depend for survival? How do you accept that these traitors use your power in support of Kufr, its people and its man-made system of Democracy? How do you still allow these agents to suppress Islam and its people, denying them their right to live by Islam as a Khilafah "Caliphate" state?

It is upon you now to grant the Nussrah to Hizb ut Tahrir, under the leadership of the eminent politician and profound jurist, Sheikh Ata Bin Khalil Abu Al-Rashtah, for the establishment of the Khilafah "Caliphate". Only then will the plots of these criminal rulers be obliterated by the truth of Islam. Allah (swt) said,

((لِيُحِقَّ الْحَقَّ وَيُبْطِلَ الْبَاطِلَ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُجْرِمُونَ))

"That He might cause the truth to triumph and bring falsehood to nothing, even though the criminals hate it." [Surah al-Anfaal 8:8]
