Debate over Pakistan being thrown American leftovers
Pakistan's Secretary Defence Asif Yasin Malik, on Monday 31 March, said, Pakistan would be receiving the United States' leftover military hardware, after America's partial withdrawal of its forces from Afghanistan. On the same day, a statement issued by the US embassy said military equipment that has been determined to be excess can be made available through the worldwide Excess Defence Articles (EDA) program. "The US is currently reviewing Pakistan's request for EDA," the statement said.
This news is at odds with a statement issued by the US-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) had said the "United States Forces-Afghanistan does not provide or intend to provide any such equipment, including MRAPs (Mine-Resistant Ambush-Protected vehicles), from Afghanistan to Pakistan" which followed uproar over reports that the US had planned to transfer some of its excess equipment to Pakistan.
And the ISAF statement itself is at odds with a testimony by Gen Dunford before the US Senate Armed Service Committee in which he had said that the US was planning to give 1,200 MRAP vehicles to Pakistan, Afghanistan and other allies. "We're in the process right now of seeing if there are any of our allies that can use those vehicles," Gen Dunford had told the panel.
Whether Pakistan receives American leftovers or not, it is clear that America is debating this issue like a master sitting at the table and pondering over whether to throw scraps to his dog. Indeed, it can be said Americans have more consideration and respect for their dogs. It is Pakistan's armed forces that have been fighting America's war in the tribal areas, witnessing its soldiers and officers blown apart by mines. Tens of billions of dollars have been lost from the economy, hundreds of thousands have been made homeless or displaced from their homes, tens of thousands of civilians have been killed, as well as thousands of armed forces and security personnel. Yet, this is the stature of Pakistan in the eyes of America.
Regarding military technology from America, America only provides enough to ensure the dependence upon it and she will never give that which will allow the armed forces of the Muslims to pursue an independent course based on the actual interests of the Ummah. This is why America provides Pakistan twenty five year old fighter planes, whilst Obama's envoy John Kerry stole away the tail fin of the American stealth helicopter that crashed in Abbotobad, under a smoke screen of claims that America fears that China would acquire the technology, even though China already has the likes of it.
Is it not time, to tear up this so-called alliance by uprooting the traitors and is it not time to establish the Khilafah "Caliphate" in their place? The Khilafah "Caliphate" which was the decision-maker in international politics and the world order, whose armed forces were regarded as invincible, with emperors and kings fearing to face it. The Khilafah "Caliphate" manufactured its own weapons, from cannons to torpedoes that were the marvels of their era. And the coming Khilafah "Caliphate"'s political will regarding securing the Muslims and Islam will be unconstrained due to the fact that the Khilafah "Caliphate" will not rely upon others for armaments, but will build a powerful industrial base to lead the world in the field of military technology once again.
Hizb ut Tahrir stipulates in its Introduction to the Constitution, Article 69: "It is obligatory to provide the Army with weapons, supplies and equipment, as well as all necessities and requirements, which enable it to carry out its mission as an Islamic Army." It further elaborates within this article, "Its evidence is the words of Allah (swt),
((وَأَعِدُّوا لَهُمْ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ قُوَّةٍ وَمِنْ رِبَاطِ الْخَيْلِ تُرْهِبُونَ بِهِ عَدُوَّ اللَّهِ وَعَدُوَّكُمْ وَآخَرِينَ مِنْ دُونِهِمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَهُمُ اللَّهُ يَعْلَمُهُمْ))
"Make ready, against them, your strength to the utmost of your power, including steeds of war, to strike terror into (the hearts of) the enemies of Allah and your enemies, and others besides, whom you may not know, but whom Allah does know" [al-Anfaal: 60]
Gold and silver standard is a must to curb rampant inflation
After stabilising for a brief spell, mainly due to the large influx of dollar loans, whose interest based repayments will cripple the economy further soon, the consumer prices on an average rose 8.5% in March 2014 compared to the same month a year ago. And this is whilst the government prepares to announce a third phase of increase in gas and electricity tariffs to further break the backs of the people. The Consumer Price Index (CPI)-based inflation increased 8.53% in March, driven by higher prices of food items, according to figures released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) on Tuesday 1 April 2014. Food inflation swelled 9.3% compared to the same month a year ago and 7.6% in February, according to the PBS. Prices of household kitchen items like tomatoes, potatoes, eggs and fresh fruits rose significantly, with a maximum increase of 93% in potato rates.
Islam has mandated that the currency of the state is backed by precious metal wealth, ending the root cause of inflation. RasulAllah (saw) commanded the Muslims to mint Gold Dinars, weighing 4.25g, and Silver Dirhams, weighing 2.975g, as the currency of the state. This is why the Khilafah "Caliphate" enjoyed stable prices for over a thousand years. Today the Khilafah "Caliphate" will employ exchange of commodities, such as copper, and foreign exchange for gold and silver and will be mindful of net outgoing of gold and silver during international trade, though the Muslim World is self-sufficient in most matters. Moreover, re-establishing gold and silver in international trade will end the unfair disadvantage that America has by imposing the dollar on international trade.
Traitors in the military and political leadership
On Wednesday 31 March, the Special Court indicted Musharraf on five counts. During the hearing, Musharraf said, "I am sad that I am being called a traitor." Outside the National Assembly, Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique proclaimed, "There is no doubt that he is a traitor; he is Pakistan's worst offender."
The raging debate over Musharraf's trial and possible exit from the country on compassionate grounds has revealed that the term "traitor" is now part of the political language in the country. In some quarters the more advanced term, "traitors in the political and military leadership" has now been used. The issue now is to settle upon the criterion for being a traitor, which is the critical and essential matter to avoid being victims of treachery continuously. This matter must be clear in our minds otherwise we will be forever silent before the traitor when he is in power, complicit in its treachery, and then beating our chests indignantly when he is out of power.
The criterion must be that for which the Muslims sacrificed in hundreds of thousands to establish Pakistan, that of Islam. Treachery is abandoning the Ruling by Shariah. This is the heart of the matter. And Allah (swt) condemns the perpetrator of this crime in the harshest of words and in the clearest of expressions.
Allah (swt) says: ((وَمَنْ لَمْ يَحْكُمْ بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمْ الْكَافِرُونَ))
"And whoever does not rule with what Allah has brought down, then these are the disbelievers." [Al-Ma'idah 5: 44]
It means the one who rules with other than what Allah has revealed, if he believed in the Validity (صلاح SalaaH) of what he rules with, and the absence of Validity of the Shar', the he is Kaafir. If, however, he did not believe in its Validity, rather he believed in the Validity of Islam, then he is disobedient. Therefore, Allah (swt) said in other two Aayaat:
((وَمَنْ لَمْ يَحْكُمْ بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمْ الظَّالِمُونَ))
"And whoever does not rule with what Allah has brought down, then these are the Zaalimoon." [Al-Ma'idah: 45]
((وَمَنْ لَمْ يَحْكُمْ بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمْ الْفَاسِقُونَ))
"And whoever does not rule with what Allah has brought down, then these are the Fasiqoon." [Al-Ma'idah: 47].
Anti-Terrorism is a Tool to Suppress Anti-Americanism
A much-awaited standing committee report on a controversial bill seeking to tighten terrorism prosecution came to the National Assembly on Wednesday 2 April 2014, indicating the government will press its house majority into action after a consensus remained elusive. Such anti-terrorist laws are subject to the political bias of America and are imposed through her agents in the Muslim World. Since the 1970s, America has generated national and international public opinion according to her viewpoint of what constitutes terrorism.
She has consistently exploited violent actions aimed at civilian targets for her own ends, whether these actions came from political or military movements not linked to America, or from movements connected to the intelligence services of America, such as the CIA supervised Raymond Davis network in Pakistan.
Since the United States has identified Islam as her greatest enemy after the fall of communism, the Islamic countries are now seen as strategic areas in which it will use the anti-terrorism law in order to increase its influence and keep them under control. This is why we will find many Islamic movements that labelled as terrorist by the United States. Even political parties and movements that do not use material actions to realise their objectives are not exempt from this label. Thus the United States considers the activity of any movement, party or state calling for the return of Islam as a terrorist action breaching international law. With this justification, and by compelling those nations who have adopted the anti-terrorism legislation, it is able to mobilise the forces of these nations under its leadership to strike these movements, parties or states.
It is incumbent on those Muslims working for the re-establishment of the Khilafah "Caliphate", or supporting its re-establishment, from the media and others, to expose the reality of this law to Islamic and global public opinion. They must also expose the reality of US policy which works to dominate the world through this law, and that she is the real perpetrator of many of the bombings and explosions worldwide that have been attributed to Muslim individuals, groups or states.
Pakistan's capitalist system itself is the cause of privatization of the Ummah's assets
On Friday 4 April, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari criticised the government for its policy of privatisation. "In the name of privatization the government is planning on selling of the nations assets," he lamented. "The people of Pakistan will never sell of their assets." However, this is the pot calling the kettle black. In reality privatization is not the policy of any single government in the current capitalist system, but of all governments who come to rule in this kufr system.
The rampant privatization of state and public property is one of the pillars of the capitalist system, initiated in Pakistan by the colonialists and slavishly implemented by the Musharraf-Aziz government, then the Kayani-Zardari regime and now the Raheel-Nawaz regime. The colonialists are so greedy for the Ummah's resources in Pakistan that they have made sure successive governments maintain a separate ministry for privatization! The ministry of privatization has put a number of Pakistan's strategic assets on the privatization list like PSO, PTCL, OGDCL, SNGPL, SSGPL, Pak oil field etc. and this list is growing day by day. The privatization drive does not care for the fact that many of the assets are public properties, of immense benefit and need for the entire society.
Properties such as oil, gas and electricity interests once privatized, raise immense profits for private parties, but at a terrible cost to society at wide, as people are faced with ever rising costs to line the pockets of the private owners.
Any government that arises in this kufr system will continue with privatization of the Ummah's public properties.
The only solution is to abolish the kufr system and establish the Khilafah "Caliphate" in its place. Islam will end the capitalist economy and establish an Islamic one. As a system Islam ensures the distribution of wealth and one of its mechanisms is the public ownership of electricity resources as well as coal, oil and gas. As such these resources are neither owned by the state nor individuals.
Instead, the state administers this resource to ensure that its benefit is used for all the citizens, regardless of race, color, school of thought and religion. The Khilafah "Caliphate" will abolish taxes upon power and fuel which have further greatly inflated their prices. It will charge only to cover their production and distribution costs, if needed, and any profit from sales to non-hostile non-Muslim states will be put to use for taking care of the public's needs. Islam's electricity policy will contribute to a massive industrialization of Pakistan, supervised by the Khilafah "Caliphate".
America needs Democracy to Secure its Spoils in the Region
US President Barack Obama, in a 5 April 2014 statement issued by the White House, said: "These elections are critical to securing Afghanistan's democratic future, as well as continued international support." The President's interest in Democracy is because America realizes throughout the Muslim World that Democracy is the key to securing its interests and Afghanistan is no exception for it.
Although Islam mandates that the Khlaeefah is contracted through Consent (مراضاة MuraaDaah) and Volition (اختيار Ikhtiyaar) such that elections are instituted, Islam does not permit any rule to govern by other than all that which Allah (swt) revealed. However, in Democracy the rulers rule by Kufr which is the door by which America secures its interests, whether it is keeping its enemy forces on our lands or implementing its capitalism to deny us of the wealth that Allah (swt) bestowed upon us.
Although Islam, Consultation (Shura) is a right of the Muslims upon the Rulers, Islam does not permit Consultation that advises implementation outside of Islam. However, in Democracy, the consultation embraces the kufr laws of Capitalism and its corrupting Freedoms, which trample upon the blessed Commands of Allah (swt) and His Messenger (swt).
Raheel-Nawaz Regime Acts as a Guardian for America's Raj in Afghanistan
On Sunday 6 April 2014, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif, declared regarding the elections in Afghanistan, "This election would prove as a historic moment for the Afghan people in their democratic journey." However, there is little to celebrate. It is these elections that are being used as a cover to legitimize the current occupation of the country. It is this democracy that is being used to install another regime to act as an agent to America, in order to secret a permanent American presence in Afghanistan after a limited withdrawal. It is this democracy that allows the rulers to throw the Islamic Legal Rulings behind there backs, exposing the country to humiliation before the enemy and immense economic hardships and suffering, despite the wealth in the country. So this statement is not more than salt in the wounds of the suffering Muslims of Afghanistan.
As if this were not enough, the Raheel-Nawaz regime acts as a guardian against the threats to American occupation from the Haqqani network and the Quetta Shura, amongst others, assisting America in its assassinations, as well as undertaking operations. And it is the Raheel-Nawaz regime that is preventing the real solution to the problem of the region, which is the establishment of Islam as a state which will immediately mobilize for the eradication of the American Raj, that has been established since Musharraf opened the region to America.
The need of the time is for the Muslim armed forces of Pakistan to grant the Nussrah for the return of Islam as an Authority and State. Only then will the armed forces be led by a righteous Khaleefah stand together with the Muslims of the tribal regions, in order to remove all sign of the American crusaders. Allah (swt) said,
((وَمَا لَكُمْ لاَ تُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَالْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنْ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ وَالْوِلْدَانِ))
"How should you not fight in the Way of Allah, and of the feeble among men and the women and the children." [An-Nisa'a 4:75]
The Real Role of the Muslim Army must be Realised
Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Monday 7 April said that Pakistan Army upheld the sanctity of all institutions and would resolutely preserve its own dignity and institutional pride, during his visit to the headquarters of Special Service Group (SSG) at Ghazi Base, Tarbela.
What pride does General Raheel speak of when our armed forces are being used as fodder to secure the American presence in the region? What dignity does General Raheel speak of when Democracy is hoisted over heads denying the many rights that the Deen of Allah (swt) has sanctioned for us?
We remind the General and his entourage of the real role of the army in Islam. Indeed, when the armies were under the rule of Islam in the Islamic state, the Islamic armies' were posted on the frontier borders and it was as if they did not know what defeat is. They continuously roamed the lands, opening countries for Islam, the mercy to the world, and the Muslims prioritized this task in the history of the Islamic Khilafah "Caliphate" State during its thirteen centuries. This was in stark contrast to the armies of the Kafireen who acted, both in history and currently, in a hostile and brutal manner in their occupation of lands, conquering and pillaging resources.
However under democracy, the armed forces are prevented from carrying the message of Islam as a guidance and mercy to the worlds. Their role has become reduced and corrupted to protecting the regimes that suffocate the Muslims, regimes that rule by kufr, who are loyal to the Western Kafireen. In return, the Kafireen give "legitimacy'' to these regimes as long as they rule by Kufr which was exported to them from foreign lands, and as long as they serve the principle economic, military and political interests of the colonialists.
Islam's noble role can never be realized whilst the armies are commanded by the current military and political leadership. For this leadership is controlled by Kafir colonialists and so rebellion against such military and political leaders is obligatory so as to overthrow them and hand the authority over to the faithful sons of the Ummah, people of the enlightened Islamic thinking with an alternative way of life. This obligation upon the armies in the Muslim world demands that the armies hand over their leadership to a Khaleefah, who will rule by the book of Allah and the Sunnah of the Messenger (saw) and command them to the fields of victory over the enemies of Islam and Muslims. And then the Ummah will spend on those armies from the sweat of her brow, with pleasure, for they will stand as a source and pride and dignity.
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَا لَكُمْ إِذَا قِيلَ لَكُمْ انفِرُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ اثَّاقَلْتُمْ إِلَى الأَرْضِ أَرَضِيتُمْ بِالْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا مِنْ الآخِرَةِ فَمَا مَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا فِي الآخِرَةِ إِلاَّ قَلِيلٌ، إِلاَّ تَنفِرُوا يُعَذِّبْكُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا وَيَسْتَبْدِلْ قَوْمًا غَيْرَكُمْ وَلاَ تَضُرُّوهُ شَيْئًا
"O you who believe! What is the matter with you? When it is said to you: Go forth in the Way of Allah, you are however down to the ground with heaviness. Do you take pleasure in the life of the world rather than in the Hereafter? The comfort of the life of the world is but little than in the Hereafter. If you do not go forth, He will afflict you with a painful doom and will choose instead of you a folk other than you. You cannot harm Him at all." [Tawba 9:38-39]
