The Pious Women of Al-Sham are neither for Sale nor for Trade

"The Women's National Council in Egypt criticized a number of Egyptian men marrying Syrian refugee women, who fled their countries because of the situation in Syria, seeking asylum in Egypt. The council considered these marriages "exploitation of their bad circumstances." There was a controversy in Jordan prior to this regarding some men who visited Syrian Refugee Camps searching for Syrian girls to marry them...

The Children in the West who are Robbed of their Lives

  • Published in Analysis
  •   |

A social worker told me recently at her joy of a very happy and loving child who was disabled, being adopted. When I asked about why he had been in care in the first place, she related how his mother had abandoned him at the hospital after giving birth to him. Although I could understand the joy of the momentous occasion of his adoption, I felt deep sadness that the boy was abandoned in the first place and it made me think of the scores of children in the UK, who go through similar experiences.

The Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service (Cafcass) received 8,403 new applications between April 2011 - April 2012 of children whose families were having court proceedings about whether they could continue to keep them in their care or not. In April last year, it was predicted that by April 2013 this number could rise up to 10, 000. Although figures have yet to be released to prove how true this has been, we know the continuous flow of children into the care system has not stopped and does not stop.

And as always, secular liberal societies focus on how to try to deal with the flow once it has started. So there is no shortage of advertising campaigns to try to get more foster carers to take these children into their homes and look after them for a wage; initiatives to try to improve the social services departments to make sure that children in neglectful homes are supported and monitored before they are taken away as the last resort. But never is the question asked as to why so many children are abused, neglected and failed by their families in the first place?

Of course this issue is by no means a simple one. There will be times where parents or single parents, cannot manage their children for whatever reason due to a change in life. However for most cases we see that firstly many children are the result of promiscuous or non-committing relationships and are therefore unwanted, or secondly the parents themselves do not view the role of a parent as a responsibility they must fulfil.

And at the heart of both these attitudes, is liberal values arising from secular society which pushes people to let their desires rule their actions. So if parenting is not always fun, requires sacrifice and consistently putting others before yourself, then it becomes something people want to disband and not do anymore. Liberal values have also pushed sexual freedom as a positive thing, detaching completely that with the sexual instinct comes the ability to have children. So when an unwanted pregnancy happens, the solution is to put the child into care not to stop the promiscuity in the first place.

Islam nurtures a mentality of accountability for every responsibility in life, to Allah; and parenting is a key one. The Islamic Khilafah "Caliphate" system puts family life at its heart and disallows anything through its values, rules and laws from harming it or devaluing it.

Liberalism has robbed too many children of the protection, love and security that they deserve from their parents. It is over and beyond time, the world now looks to Islam.

The Media Office of Hizb ut-Tahrir/ Wilayah Sudan organized its third monthly forum on Saturday, 18 Jumada I 1434 AH, corresponding to 30 March 2013, in its Media Office in Khartoum, titled: "Violence against Women Charter in the Islamic Perspective." Panel speakers included local and international newspaper writer Makkie Maghribi who is also the President of the Sudanese Organization for Press Freedoms, and Abdul Rahman Saad Al-Hussein member of the Media Office of Hizb ut-Tahrir/ Wilayah Sudan.

Makkie Maghribi said: "Salute to Hizb ut Tahrir, which teaches us self- respect, which respects entity through respect for the time, arrangement and careful preparation, have been and continue to be convictions that Hizb ut-Tahrir is always fixed on the right and on its principles, and seriousness which far outweigh the often serious regular forces. Armed forces use military force as their doctrine of discipline, whereas the driving force for Hizb ut-Tahrir is Aqeedah and thought. Fortunately today we are discussing the subject of man-made laws with the presence of Hizb ut-Tahrir who will critique these man-made systems."

Afterwards they continued with the panel discussion regarding the UN convention, the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) which has generated worldwide coverage surrounding the meeting in New York and its implications on women, with many Muslim countries, including Sudan, Libya, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan, Turkey, and other countries. We ask: what are the concepts of justice and equality, and the controversy around it?

He noted that the document is a summary of the agreements that have been concerning women, such as the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women and the Beijing Platform for Action and General Recommendation No. 19 and the Declaration on the Elimination of Violence against Women and Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development to other conferences.

The hall was filled with a number of politicians and journalists who participated with their input and comments.

"The believer is not stung from the same hole twice." [Hadith]

Muslims have not been stung merely twice, but countless times by the current system in Pakistan. Each time new faces come through coup or election, the people curse the old faces. However, only after a while, the new faces appear even uglier and more despised than the older faces. The current system is incapable of looking after the affairs of the people and securing the rights that Allah (swt) guaranteed humankind, regardless of their race, language, gender or religion.

The Khilafah Alone will Give the Woman her Full Rights

The war was and still is raging against the Muslim woman and her society, and it has taken many different forms and various means within deliberate calculated sequential steps, with the aim of westernizing the Muslim woman and breaking her protective screen, and violated the security of the Islamic society and buried any attempt for the revival of the Islamic Ummah as a prevention of the return of Islam to life again.
