Dr. Mohammed Malkawi: Economic System in Islam - Economy of Justice

Dr. Muhammad Malkawi, an international speaker and the author of the book Fall of Capitalism & the Rise of Islam explains in this informative lecture how the economic system of Islam provides justice and economic security to all citizens living under its abode both Muslims and Non-Muslims. The system which was sent down by Allah, the Creator to guide mankind in implementing just and fair systems under the umbrella of the Islamic system which guided mankind for 1300 years and is on a path to rise again. The talk is followed by a question and answer session.

A wave of bitter cold, accompanied by snow, heavy rains and storms is plaguing the country. Therefore the Ministry of Education decided to suspend schools and confine students to their homes. The Security Services, the Civil Defense and the Ministry of Works are mobilizing all forces and energy - at least as claimed by the authority - distributing warnings and guidelines to the people on how to deal with this wave. Most people sheltered in their homes for fear of frost, cold wind and flood risks. They secured for themselves all the various heating methods, and do not leave their homes and workplaces, unless absolutely necessary.

The Friday evening event held by Hizb ut Tahrir / Britain on 20 September 2013 was attended by over 400 men and women, who heard lively talks and debate on the political crisis in the Middle East with a focus on Syria and Egypt. At the outset of the event, the Chair, Jamal Harwood, who is a lecturer in Finance and Economics and a regular commentator on Islamic political affairs, posed some interesting questions for the speakers: on Syria, what's the current state of the uprising, how should we see the divisions between the US and Russia and what does the future hold for the devastated country? On Egypt, the question most commentators are asking is does the arrest of Mohammad Morsi point to the failure and end of political Islam?
